2. Introduction
• Headquartered in El Paso, Texas, Burnham Wood Charter
School District focuses on helping students develop life skills,
self-esteem, and creativity via a STEM-based curriculum.
Students at each of the Burnham Wood Charter School
District schools must re-enroll each year.
Prior to the start of the school year, parents of Burnham
Wood students receive a re-enrollment packet that contains
information about the school year and a form that must be
completed with current student information and sent to the
school district. In addition to this form, copies of the student’s
immunization records and birth certificate must also be
included if these documents aren’t already on file at the
school.

3. Re-Enrollment
• Proof of residency is required, such as a utility bill that
contains the name and address of the student’s parent, as is a
copy of the student’s social security card. In cases where a
social security card can’t be provided, Burnham Wood assigns
a state number to the student. Parents may also choose to
submit a non-refundable $30 Community Supply Fee as part
of re-enrollment, though this is done on a voluntary basis.
New students in any grade from Kinder through 12 are
welcome to apply. There are three high performing schools in
the Burnham Wood Family of Schools: Howard Burnham
Elementary, Vista del Futuro Elementary and Da Vinci School
for Science and he Arts (Middle and High School). All schools
are free , public schools, open to residents of the greater El
Paso area.
