JOINT SYSTEMS™ FAÇADE INTERACTION SYSTEM™
As a result of extensive design and testing, we are glad to be
introducing to the Architectural World, our Joint Systems™
Façade Interaction System.
Joint Systems™, through utilizing many years of construction
knowledge, created with the first system to ever use
the increased silicone thickness on the external bellows
coating.
Joint Systems, expansion joint arm of The Trajan Group P/L,
engineered this in conjunction with Aurecon, HKS and
several other World-class Engineers and Architects;
combining the best of both physical theory and relative
mechanics when dealing with both high-risk curtain walls and
standard curtain wall projects.
Running Projects include the New Perth Childrens’ Hospital, and the world’s most technologically
advanced, the New Royal Adelaide Hospital.

- Low height finn: ends 300mm above ceiling level
- Low height wall: ends 100mm above ceiling level
- Insulation above ceiling: 600 mmm wide insulation required to both sides of grade 3 wall
- Width of wall: 118 NOM. (2x 13mm Knauf QuadShield, or similar,+ 92mm Knauf Steel Stud, or similar, 0.75 BMT at 600 Ctrs.)
Acoustic Grade 4 Partitions:
- Acoustic grade 4: Rw=48 to 52
- Partition façade junction: see detail 3 on 065
- Partition and fin to be full height to U/S slab + deflection head on top
- Wall/fin insulation: 50mm Earthwool, or similar, (14kg/m3) (full height)
- Width of wall: 131 NOM. (3x 13mm Knauf QuadShield, or similar, + 92mm Knauf Steel Stud, or similar, 0.75 BMT at 600 Ctrs )
Typical façade mullion:
- 6063-T6 (aluminium alloy/temper) coated with polyester powder coating
- Aluminium plates coated with polyester powder coating to match finish of façade mullion
Max movement and gap sizes:
- 17mm in both directions
- 35mm gap
