Group, (LRG) their 17th
annual TV/video industry study released June 5, 2020, 2x Statista or Nielsen sample:
2010, 8% had 1 Internet-connected TV/device; 2015, 57% had 1 Internet connected TV/device at home (LRG).
2017, >58% TV-households had 1,2,3 TVs connected to the Internet or Smart TVs. (Statista)
2018, 74% with at least 1 Internet-connected device INCLUDING set-top pay TV boxes (Statista).
Now in 2020, 80% do with only: stand-alone streaming devices (such as Apple+TV, Chromecast, Amazon
FireStick/Roku); connected videogame players, or Blu-Ray players, but again NOT INCLUDING set-top boxes
for fiber/cable, satellite that also offer Internet services according to Bruce Leichtman. Besides wiring to WiFi
transmitters throughout a home, Mobile MiFi converts a cellular signal creating WiFi hotspots on the go and
for RVers.
Mid-2020, among those with any Internet TV device, 64% have 3 or more! Understand there are in total:
400M is up from 250M connected-Internet TV/devices in 2016. Along with the increase in Internet devices,
the number of adults watching video on an Internet-connected device has risen from 19% to 40% in 4-years.

this is big-screen home theatre viewing, family viewing, and pandemic-closed theaters. Airline traffic is off 82% where
some Internet video was watched as distinct from recordings played. Both A&B movies are being released direct to home
video or streaming since March 2020.
LRG research also focused on 62% of High-Definition (4K pixel per square inch camera-shot HDTV) owners saying
picture-quality of all video below that is better, with 6% disagreeing. [Samsung advertises if you camera-shoot video
in 8K or want to see an 8K program broadcast that started in 2018 (5% of programs are offered in that quality to
date), then they are recommending customers buy Quantum-dot LED TVs at 16-million pixels for such as a 98” QLED
@16x more definition than HD, while 4K QLED is 8M pixels @ 8x HD. Standard Definition (SD) is/was 820 lines per
screen as compared to 1080 pixels on a typical computer screen.]
20M homes do not use any TV, but cord-cutters rely on devices (may go up to 40M by 2022, Statista),

waited 30-seconds or longer for a picture-rich website or virtual tour to load, even
on fiber-optic speed of light, there are many connections across thousands of
miles. By placing a data center locally or regionally for media decisions by the
audience, then it will load in 10-seconds, stream down to 3-seconds, or instantly!

7. Content Aggregation Centers (CANdoSpeed) Team: Think of EdgeConnect CANs as gathering data locally
like an election: a) registration as a voter; b) polling place arrival checked off; c) selection of topic category;
d) voting in booths; e) sending tallies to the precinct captain in advance of physical ballots in locked boxes;
f) send sealed boxes; f) then county recorder; g) secretary of state; h) and perhaps to federal. Not all

Data Centers (SDC)s, though with FiTNA members, no personal data will be retained except by permission,
and not for very long. The more data centers that FiTNA members own, no nosy surveillance occurs.
