2. Dear Counselors,
Prepare to Launch is an Equine Assisted Therapy workshop offering participants a
hands on experience that will highlight and practice skills necessary to support a
successful landing at college. Our experiences as therapists working with young adults
has motivated us to create this workshop that aims to increase awareness and insight
for students and family members of the pragmatic and emotional changes systems
often experience during this period of transition. Activities will focus on typical
challenges when it comes the "launching" process such as resisting temptations,
getting connected away from home, and stress management.
I have attached our flier with more information. The dates will likely be adjusted to
November 14 & 15. Please share with any students and families you believe would
benefit from this workshop.
