1. Industrial Sewing Projects
All patterns were given to me and I had to construct the
garment by reading the pattern and following directions.

2. Tailored jacket completed with horsehair canvas, lining, welt
pockets and buttonholes, notched collar, sleeve placket, and
shoulder pads.

5. Matching plaid project with buttons, buttonholes, cuff, sleeve
placket, fish eye darts, pocket, yoke, and facing.

7. Chiffon project complete with organza enclosed
plackets/facings, buttons, spaghetti strap tie, roll hem, and
flounce-lettuce hem.

9. Knit project completed with binding, banding, and a cover
stitch hem.

10. Pattern-making Projects
Each project I was given an inspiration and I had to research,
plan, and make prototypes to best show my style and include
the inspiration. I then had to create the design, pattern, and
final garment.

11. Inspiration: Post card of Avenue of the Allies, Great Britian,
1859-1935. This painting is of the flags of our allies during
World War I hanging along New York’s 5th
Avenue.

14. Inspiration: Adinkra Salute- meaning goodbye in the language
of the Akan ethnic group.

21. Inspiration: Egyptian Pyramids.

22. Illustrations
I have only taken one beginner illustration class thus far and
will be taking many more this upcoming semester.

23. Inspiration: Royal Goth- Women’s 2016 Fall/Winter-
Structured.

24. Inspiration: Mint, shades of green, crystals- Women’s 2017
Spring/Summer- Flats With Fullness.

25. Inspiration: 80s Movies- Women’s 2016 Fall/Winter, Ready to
Wear, Sportswear- Closures and Trims.

26. Inspiration: Betsey Johnson- Women’s Evening Wear- Texture.

34. Inspiration: 70s- Menswear- Patterns.
