The following collection was developed for my Apparel Design class. The project was to design twelve looks with a front and back view inspired by a theme of your choice. I chose to design a collection inspired by the Renaissance. I wanted the collection to reflect the ideal beauty found in the period as described by artists like Leonardo Da Vinci and Brunelleschi and to allow the client to feel feminine in clothing inspired by menswear of the Renaissance. Each piece has design elements that were used in the garments in the Renaissance, combined with styles that were popular when I did this project (2009).
