LEADERSHIP EXPERINECE
Pediatrics Student Association August 2012- May 2014
M1 Liaison and President
• Responsibilities as M1 Liaison included coordinating and organizing multiple speaker events, marketing events, and
providing input at board meetings.
• Responsibilities as President included overseeing the coordination of all events, managing other board members and M1
liaisons, implementing new ideas, keeping faculty updated, and attending monthly meetings with other student group
presidents.
• As President I implemented a Facebook page for the student group, which acted as a marketing tool, an educational tool,
and a way for group members to interact with each other. The Facebook page generated over 60 members. I posted
monthly case discussions to help promote collaboration between group members
• As President I organized the group’s first philanthropic events: A T-shirt fundraiser, which raised over $500, used to
donate toys to the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, and a bake sale fundraiser which raised over $200 for the Penfield
Children’s Center. I also organized a team to walk in the Briggs & Al’s Charity Run for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
• During my time as President, the pediatrics student association added a new board member position, five new yearly
events, and over fifty new members.
Jewish Student Union
President August 2013- May 2014
• Responsibilities as President included organizing speaker and social events, managing the budget and organizing board
meetings.
• As President, I helped JSU create a new partnership with Dr. Dennis Maiman to help build a stronger Jewish community at
MCW through holiday dinners and other social events. I organized and coordinated a new integrative lecture series on the
intersection of religion, ethics and medicine.
M3 Track Liaison August 2014-Present
• Responsibilities include gathering student feedback on clinical rotations, attending monthly meetings with other student
track liaisons and MCW administrators to help improve the M3 year for current and future students.
M3 Pediatric Clerkship Consultant March 2015
• Worked with the Pediatrics clerkship director, Dr. Joshua Noe, and the clerkship coordinator, Sheri Galewski, to help
improve the clerkship orientation, requirements and webpage.
MEDICAL EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
USMLE Step1 Tutor August 2014-Present
• General responsibilities included tutoring a group of eight M2 students on USMLE Step1 material and general test taking
strategies, organizing monthly tutor sessions, and creating lesson plans.
• As a tutor I utilized a mixture of book summarization, clinical scenario questions, game-show teaching and useful
mnemonics to help students prepare for the USMLE Step1.
USMLE Step1 Tutor Curriculum Development July 2015-Present
• Created and developed a game-show based curriculum for a peer-to-peer USMLE Step1 tutor program
• Curriculum development included a needs analysis, creation of lesson objectives using Bloom’s Taxonomy, teaching
module development, and curriculum implementation
• Curriculum included eight jeopardy-based modules relating to the pathology units in FirstAid
• Curriculum initiated in 2015-2016 school year
• Results presented at Medical College of Wisconsin Innovations in Medical Education Research Forum 2016
Pediatrics MS3 Clerkship Respiratory Disorders Lecture July 2015-Present
• Created and developed a game-show based lecture on common pediatric respiratory disorders

Pediatrics Resident Physician, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin July 2016 - Present
• Currently completing my PL1 year
Clinical Pediatric Externship, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Summer 2013
• One of four MS1 students selected through an application process to complete an 8-week externship in pediatrics through
the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
• Participated in four 2-week rotations, which included General Outpatient Pediatrics, Pediatric Gastroenterology, Neonatal
ICU, and Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant.
• Member of healthcare team with residents, fellows and attending physicians in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• General responsibilities included gathering patient history, performing physical exams, presenting patients to residents and
attending physicians on rounds, attending faculty meetings and resident lectures.
Tamarak Day Camp, Lincolnshire, IL Summer 2008-Summer 2012
Counselor
• General responsibilities included organizing and supervising activities for children ages 5-7 years old, collaborating with
other counselors and communicating with parents.
• Responsibilities also included being a Bus Counselor for 20-30 campers, and being a Swim Instructor for groups of 1-5
campers.
RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
Medical Student Pathways Project Program May 2012-June 2014
• Project Title: Improving Teaching Modality Effectiveness in Renal Radiology Throughout Medical School
• Within the Department of Radiology, under the mentorship of Dr. Joseph Budovec, the project evaluated the existing level
of teaching modality effectiveness in the education of medical students throughout the radiology clerkship. Steps included
researching current teaching methods utilized, researching effectiveness of other teaching modalities in medical education,
conducting a needs analysis survey, interpreting survey results, creating a new teaching modality, and evaluating the
usefulness of the new module.
• The research resulted in a poster presentation at MCW.

• Project Title: Multimodality Imaging of Malignant Mixed Mullerian Tumors With Emphasis on 3t MR and Diffusion
