To Whom It May Concern:
I have known Brandon Kotlyarsky for over ten years. I have always found Brandon to be
intellectually curious and extremely interested in the sciences, as well as a young man mature
beyond his years.
As a founder of an expertise based consulting firm, Easton Associates, (sold to Navigant
Consulting in 2012), we helped medical products companies make informed decisions regarding
market opportunities for emerging medical device/diagnostic technologies as well as
pharmaceutical agents.
When Brandon was a junior in high school, he was one of two summer interns selected in a
competitive process to participate as a summer consulting internship program. In his capacity
as a summer intern, he was intimately involved on two projects and worked as part of the full
consulting project team. His role within the team was to research and analyze both secondary
and primary information sources, analyze competitive products, companies, market dynamics,
and collaborate with the entire team to help come to a recommendation regarding the nature,
size and risks associated with the clinical development and commercialization of these future
medical products. At the end of the summer, he was able to prove/dis-prove a hypothesis,
identify the potential issues facing the development of these products, and help convey these
findings to the client in a full report.
I have kept in touch with Brandon during his college years at Penn State. During that time, we
have had several discussions regarding his career path and education and in particular his
passion for the sciences. Brandon is a proactive and passionate person and he will go far
across his many endeavors. I enthusiastically recommend Brandon and know he will be a
thoughtful and energetic contributor to any organization.
