I’ve been a studentat WVUIT since the fall semester of2011. I joined the Information
Systems program in the spring semester of2012. Since joining the program I have learned
a great deal aboutcomputer programming,along with an understanding ofhow algorithms
work. Outside of my program Ihave self-taughtmyself computer hardware components and
how to build computers.
I plan to graduate in December of 2016
COMMUNICATION I am comfortable giving presentations when needed. I take pride in my communication
skills,having worked in the public for the last five years I have learned how to communicate
well with my customers,employers,and co-workers.
LEADERSHIP I’ve been told by manyof my co-workers that they feel comfortable coming to me for help at
work, and looking to me for training. I am a natural leader and find that people trustme to
pointthem in the right direction,when trying to find a solution for a problem. I also generally
take the role of leader when doing group work with other students atWVUIT. I consider
myselfa natural leader but I am not a control freak. I find no shame in working under

another who is more skilled than myself. I do not feel a need to be a leader but am glad to
be a leader when a leadership position is offered to me.
