Must Know Things
- Any Body Can Play Guitar -
5. Wrist and hand float above
strings (don’t anchor to bridge
like when striking a single
string). Wrist and hand not as
flat to strings like when striking
a single string. Arm can move
more but still most of the
movement is done with the wrist.
Hold pick like you did for
striking a single string except let
more of the pick stick out from
fingers.

6. Only strike the first 2-4
strings on the up strum.
Pick strikes strings flatter
(less of an angle) than when
striking a single string.

7. Strum the strings between the sound hole and the bridge :
Strumming directly over the sound hold will create a "bass-ier", "boom-ier" sound, while
strumming closer to the bridge will give you a sharper, tinnier sound.
Practice strumming all the strings equally :
Starting with the low E string, strum all the strings, trying to give them all equal weight.
Try upstrokes :
Try strumming the guitar from the little E string to the low. This is called an upstroke.
Use your wrist :
Learn to keep your elbow tight into the instrument, using your wrist to strum.
8. Stay positive and happy. Work hard and don't give up hope. Be open to criticism
and keep learning. Surround yourself with happy, warm and genuine people
