2. A Capo is a tool that clamps on the neck of a guitar and presses
the strings down in a chosen fret. This raises the pitch of the
strings. It can also be used to help beginners fret chords because
it makes the strings easier to push down
3. Reasons Why Using a Capo is Great
for Your Guitar Playing
If you can learn just 5 chords, be able to change back and forth
between them, you can play 1000s of songs by using the capo.
Using a capo allows you to play things that would otherwise be
impossible.
Using a capo you can Change the key to suit a singer.
Using a capo makes playing the chords easier.
Using a capo leaves your fingers feeling less sore.
4. Key Points
Clamp the capo close to the front fret wire without clamping on
top of it.
5. Make sure when you clamp the capo on that you don’t pull the strings out
of tune. The strings should press straight down just like when you fret a
note.
When the capo is on, strum through all of the strings to make sure that
nothing is buzzing or sounding off in any way.
