2.  The Mesolithic Period, or Middle Stone Age,
is an archaeological term describing specific
cultures that fall between the Paleolithic and
the Neolithic Periods.
 While the start and end dates of
the Mesolithic Period vary by geographical
region,
 The Period lasted from around from 10,000
BCE to 8,000 BCE.

3.  The Mesolithic Age was a transitional phase between the
Paleolithic Age and the Neolithic Age.
 The people of this age lived on hunting, fishing, and food
gathering; later on they also domesticated animals.
 The Dog was the first animal to be tamed
 They Probably discovered the value of the seeds of some
grasses like barley and wheat

4.  Large Hand Axe and spheroids continued to be
made in this period
 Microlithic or very small stone tools are the main
type of tools found at Mesolithic sites
 Tools at this time were also made of bone, wood or
the tusks and horns of animals
