In his free time, Bill Scuorzo enjoys outdoor activities including skiing. Changing ski equipment regularly can be costly, so it's critical to use proper care techniques to maintain your equipment. To prevent rust from developing on skis, dry them after each use with a soft cloth and properly store them in a dry place. In addition, inspect your skis regularly for signs of damage and wear. Look for greasy spots on the base and, if you find them, get your skis waxed right away. Also, look for rough spots on the ski's edge by running the back of your fingernail along it. A small portion of your nail will come off if the edge is sharp. Waxing your skis regularly will help keep them in good condition. Waxing prevents the base from drying out, shrinking, and eventually cracking at the edge.
