Adopt a Plant
3. INTRODUCTION
• Taking care of plants is an activity that benefits your health and the health of the
environment. Everyone should experience what it's like to take care of a plant and
watch it grow since it's so lovely and lively. Our minds and bodies will react to that
connection to nature whether we experience it or not. We will prosper alongside
nature. It's like having a green study partner when you own a plant. The presence
of plants enhances focus, memory, and productivity. Additionally, keeping plants in
your bedroom or study area might preserve memory retention by 20%.
• Additionally, being around plants reduces stress, which lowers evaluations of ache,
worry, and exhaustion.
4. PROBLEM AND CAUSE OF THE
PROBLEM
The UN research states that between 1990 and 2005, over 9 hectares of forest
were cleared worldwide every minute, and 5 million hectares of land are used
to harvest trees each year. This is a warning indication of a serious threat to all
countries. Due to widespread routine tree cutting, global warming is a concern
that affects the entire world. Despite the fact that many animal species are
already extinct. Five million people every year die from the effects of air
pollution. The fundamental cause of this can be the growth in population and
rising human needs. The way that today's generation lives is a significant
contributor to this worrying predicament.
5. OBJECTIVE TO BE ACHIEVED
• The objective of the project is to urge the people of all age groups to plant
more and more trees and adopt as many plants as they can.
• Main objectives include-
1) Adopt a plant and take care of it until it grows fully.
2) Plant at least 4 to 5 trees.
3) Socialize the work via social media platforms to motivate the people and
encourage them to do the same and save the earth from global warming.
4) Encourage at least 5 people to adopt a plant and ask them same and so on
to create a chain and make the air pollution free.
6. VARIOUS STEPS TAKEN TO ACHIEVE
THE OBJECTIVE
• We can lessen the dangerous threat of global warming by adopting and
growing plants, which will also help to lessen air pollution and create a
healthier atmosphere.
• In order to make this endeavour successful, I planted six trees in my
neighbourhood and adopted one plant. I discovered fresh methods from
many online resources for caring for plants, such as when to water, fertilise,
and apply pesticides so that they develop healthily.
• I shared my work on social media in an effort to spread this concept and
protect the planet from pollution and climate change.
7. VARIOUS STEPS TAKEN TO ACHIEVE
THE OBJECTIVE
In addition, I was successful in convincing 5 of my friends and neighbours to
adopt a plant, and I requested that they persuade 5 additional individuals to do
the same. I on personal level experienced that taking care of the plant I
adopted made me feel so calm and relaxed from the chaos of work and stress.
When we adopt plants—or become a "bio-parent" by planting seeds—we fill
our time with meaning, since these buds need us. They rely on us for the right
growing conditions in order to survive. Planting in any form—from window sill
planters, to countertop herbs, to an outdoor space of any size—can help us
feel reconnected to nature which can be incredibly life affirming. Not only can
the process of planting and growing be restorative, it can also reduce trips to
the grocery store and create our own fresh food source.
8. VARIOUS STEPS TAKEN TO ACHIEVE
THE OBJECTIVE
Steps I learned to grow a perfect plant
1) Select the proper plant match. Not every plant is suitable for every
person. Depending on our daily routine, the people we live with, and the
amount of time we want to devote to caring for plants.
2) Thinking about the inventory and space we have.
9. VARIOUS STEPS TAKEN TO ACHIEVE
THE OBJECTIVE
3) When we're prepared to buy our plants, take a closer look at
how much sunlight each species needs. The majority will have
shady, partial shade, full sun, medium sun, etc. This tells whether
the sun should be shining directly on our plant baby or indirectly.
Check the plant's specific requirements to determine where,
indoors or outside, is best to place the new plant.
4) Research soil. Soil is not just dirt. It's a living, breathing, and
active part of the growing process. That's why high-quality soil is
absolutely essential for good results, since it features billions of
microorganisms that benefit plant health.
10. VARIOUS STEPS TAKEN TO ACHIEVE
THE OBJECTIVE
• Following these steps, we can grow an admirable and healthy plant.
• The problems of global warming, climate change and air pollution can
be reduced through plantation by some extent. In this project, we
planted about 30 trees (Neem, papal, Saal, rosewood, banyan, Fruit &
flowering plants) maintained regularly in different rural and urban areas
of Ajmer district. There would be proper arrangement of water and
fertilizer. People will be encouraged to adopt trees and take care of
them as their children.
11. VARIOUS STEPS TAKEN TO ACHIEVE
THE OBJECTIVE
Plants and trees are our natural capital. They are fundamental to life on earth,
offering food, medicine and shelter. They also sequester carbon, fight pollution
and bind the soil.
The solution to catastrophic events like wildfires, floods and pandemics lies in
restoring green cover and restoring the balance in nature. Planting or adopting
trees can help safeguard jobs, human health and essential natural resources
for millions of people.
12. EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PROJECT
I was successful in motivating many people offline as well as online via social
media to adopt a plant. I was happy with the outcome as many people
followed this chain of adopting plant and posting on social media #adopt a
plant. They continued this chain and contributed a lot in saving this earth from
pollution and global warming
13. EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PROJECT
• I myself learned a bunch of things via this project like the steps to adopt a
perfect plant and the ways to care of the same.
• I learned that plants have the capability to say good-bye to all the stress for
once in our life and feel calm. They have the potential to make us feel
positive and relaxed.
14. CONCLUSION
• In these 40 days I encouraged many people from my community to adopt a
plant blood and propagated knowledge which I gain from my experience to
my community.
• In my experience people usually feel lazy to do such things but in reality,
these things have the potential to increase our focus, positive thinking and
bring best in ourselves.
15. CONCLUSION
By this project assigned to me polluted environment and air
will be pure which would be helpful to reduce the number
of deaths occurs from asthma, pneumonia and breath
related other diseases. Plantation may not be a sole remedy
to reduce global warming but yes, it can be a strongest
strategy among all other options. Environment will be
effectively pollution free at huge level. More greenery will
be spread and rain will be better
16. CONCLUSION
Soo we should adopt a plant at least once in our life to save our
environment and motivate at least 1 person to adopt a plant and
ask the person to do the same. This might help to reduce the air
pollution.
• I conclude my CDP (Community Development Project) by giving thanks to all
the members who assigned me such a project and the people who helped
me throughout my project which was full of experience and learnings.
