5. GROSS MOTOR
when he was 2 months old, he stopped
holding finger, the grasp reflex
disappeared,
By 4th to 6th month he
started to sit with
support and rolling
over his back to
side.
By 6th to 8th month he
started holding his
neck without support.
By 8th to 10th month he began
crawling, pulling
himself to a standing position.
By 10th to 12th month he began cruising that
means walking with support.
6. At the age of 1 month he started
opening his hands.
When he was 3 month old he was able
to hold the rattle.
3rd to 4th
month he used to
follow my action
with his, hand
eye coordination was maintained and by
4th month I had to do
keen observation as he
has already began to
put his toys in his
mouth.
By 9th month he
was able to turn the
pages of picture book and also was able
to put all his blocks
in container.
7. 2nd and 4th month he
began cooing, copying
sounds of vowels.
By 9th and 12th
month he began
To understand the
meaning of simple words and commands
like “give me”, “no”.
8. By 1st month he was able to follow
moving objects, babies can see
about 30 cm in front of them
At 7 to 12 month baby’s vision is
same as adult’s vision
2nd and 4th month he was able to
locate me by my voice and looks at
me wherever I am. Hearing of
babies is same as adult
By 3rd to 4th month he used to get
startled by loud noise, turns in the
direction of sounds.
By 12th month babies are working
hard to master language and soon
they may say their first word
TOUCH : babies of all ages have a
well developed senses of touch
SMELL & TASTE: babies of all ages
have well developed senses of
smell and taste
