2.
3. • SCRIPT TO SCREEN IS THE JOURNEY RIGHT
FROM THE DAY YOU START WRITING THE
SCRIPT, TO PRESENTING THE SCRIPT AND
FINALLY THE OUTPUT IN FORM OF
TELECASTING .
• IS IT SO SIMPLE AS IT APPEARS ? OR IS IT
VERY DIFFICULT ?
• It is neither easy nor difficult .
• It requires certain ideas/techniques be
followed while writing the script , while
presenting the script and ultimately
broadcasting the same.
4. PM EVIDYA SCRIPT TO

6. ILLUSIONS ABOUT SCRIPT TO SCREEN
22 YEARS OF TEACHING
EXPERIENCE , IS IT GOOD ENOUGH
TO PRESENT THE SCRIPT ON THE SCREEN?
7. English With Bhawani

SCRIPT TO SCREEN

WITH ABOUT
• 100 VIDEOS IS IT GOOD
ENOUGH EXPERIENCE TO
FACE THE CAMERA
• 12 LIVE Sessions on

Channel
8. Even when we have all these experiences I can
boldly say from my own experiences
A teacher may be good in class room but may
struggle in front of camera. We tend to become
a lit bit nervous initially . We become more
camera conscious .
Of course with few tips and training he can
master the art of presenting on the screen
Thing are totally different when we present on
the camera .
9. DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CLASS ROOM TEACHING AND
PRESENTING A SCRIPT ON SCREEN
IN CLASS ROOM
• NO SCRIPT
(Although we write and
prepare lesson plan)
• Some times Lesson may
go / may not according to
the plan
• Some situation forces to
deviate from the plan.
• Presented by us ,
delivered by us
• No other external person
to coordinate
• Time limit also is flexible
some times we may
continue with the
arrangement periods.
• We have the facility of B.B.
• We have audience/students
in front of us
• Class room teaching goes in
two way process
(interactive methods)
• No make up / No cuts /No
action
10. DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CLASS ROOM TEACHING AND
CAMERA
1. On Camera it needs a cohesive efforts for the success of
our class, right from the day the script is written, till the
class/programme is broad casted
2. Many people like subject expert (teacher),director ,
cameraman , make up person , editor, reviewers , broad
casters are required .
3. We have many cuts and retakes until and unless it is done
perfectly, well to the satisfaction of the director .
4. No black boards, chalk pieces , charts , etc.
5. No audience in form of students who can respond to our
question ( the biggest challenge is of course in spite of all
odds we have to keep the class lively interactive and it
should not look monotonous).
11. ?
It is a written document of the programme ,which decides the road map of the
programme it enables all the stake holders right from subject experts ,directors,
camera person ,editors and review person to coordinate and work for the success
of the programme .
Any mistakes in the scripts affects the coordination of the team and ultimately
the whole programme . So a script should be care-fully and wisely written .
12. WHY SCRIPT ?
A good script can bind all the stake holders together and work
out at tandem to come out success fully .Script is required at
various stages.
RECORDING STAGE
• The lesson presented by an
expert /subject teacher has to
undergo many phases and
many people who are directly
/ indirectly involved.
• That is why we need to have a
strong script. It helps all these
people to coordinate properly
and ultimately helps the
programme to be a successful
EDITING STAGE
• At the editing stage
in order to add text
videos or graphics
the editor need a
script which assist
him in putting the
things in order.
• Even in the revival
state and pre
broadcasting stage
script is essential
13. Watch Programs on NCERT official
channel
• https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lf6tjzmHT20&t=1074s
• Ideas for scripts MUST WATCH before script writing
• 9.05 MINUTES TO 18.18 MINUTES
18. SELECTION OF FORMAT
• Drama
• Narration
• Documentary form
• Animation form
• Role play
• Group discussion
• Demonstrate a topic
These needs to be taken care of while
preparing a script.
19. DEPENDING UPON THE,SUBJECT AGE
GROUP FORMATS ALSO DIFFER
• Science experiment – demonstration method would be
suitable
• https://www.youtube.com/shorts/lqyllQjQ_jg
• Geography / --- crop rotation , mixed cropped demonstrate
you can demonstrate how erosion take place
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_sI9ncHnvU
• History – Role play -king queen freedom fighter, British,
conversation between two freedom fighter, animated
videos , young learners , puppets show can be used
https://youtu.be/1ataamAg4X8
• Audience lower - stage story telling
• Higher stage - we can go for facts and definition figures and
analysis
20. Examples for language teaching
Animation / Story board
Aunt Jennifer's Tigers
Comic Strip / Story telling
How the camel got its hump
Live Narration
Mother's Day (using OBS)
21. Programme brief tag / Aadhar card .
basic information of the individual
is given there brief idea of what is
their in the script a group of person
with whom we are working will
understand what IS THEIR IN THE
SCRIPT HE NEED NOT READ THE
WHOLE SCRIPT . Generally
programme brief is given along with
the script so that any body who is
working in the group will
understand what is there in the
script can understand the entire
script without reading .
A page before the script .
22. A POOR SCRIPTS LEADS TO POOR VIDEO . POOR VIDEO
LEADS TO POOR RESPONSE FROM AUDIENCE RETENTION .
A INTRESTING VIDEO PULLS MORE AUDIENCE SO WE
SHOULD AIM AT MAKING OUR VIDEO INTRESTING AND USE
.
23.
24. HOW TO MAKE SCRIPT INTRESTING
a) we can start the topic with a story
b)or news paper we can read out two three lines (related to
the topic) we can read then we can start the explanation
of the topic accordingly
c) we can put the story in between or the explanation
d)video embedded in it , a video clipping (not copy righted )
your own snaps dams visit / floods /tsunami land up in
trouble https://youtu.be/KB-TO5kq5Aw
e) pictures, related videos clipping/mind mapping/script
should mention interactive activities -ask question – 2-3
minutes pause and assign some activities ,it will keep the
learners engage
f) not more than 15-20 not more than 30 minutes , entire
chapter to be divided into 3-4 videos
25. CONCLUSION OF THE SCRIPT
a) At the end some question some activities recapitulation of the
video, few questions can be asked which can spark in the minds of
the children
b) Refer a book related to the topic , tell them some information about
the institution who works on the topic , website related to the topic
, sparks some interesting in the children to see the books , visit the
place etc
c) Script should not hurt any body sentiments class caster religion
region gender differently able students .
d) ACTIVITY AT THE END OF THE LESSON
