 This theory focuses on the internal process surrounding
information and memory.
 Observing, Categorizing, forming generalization to make
sense of information provided.
Previously, psychology was all about behavior which
we can see but some psychologists who were not
interested to see observable behavior rather they were
interested in learning what’s going on in a persons
mind while learning.
There are many psychologists who gave theories for
cognitive learning theory . They are Edward Tolman,
Martin Seligman, Jean Piaget and some more.
Edward Tolman was an important psychologist in
early days of development of this theory.
 It is based on the concept of latent learning.
 Latent learning means the learning that
remains hidden until its application become
useful.
 Ex:- If you read a theory it will be, latent
learning until you appear an exam or display
something about this theory practically.
 So he developed a cognitive view of learning
i.e., individuals can do more than they
respond to stimuli, they act on beliefs,
attitudes, changing conditions and strive
towards goals.
