What is the exotic Image of India?
Narration of the nation .
That representation of Indian society are reliable or not ?
3. India in One Night @ The call center :-
Story about Indian Empowerment in a globalised world.
Portrayal of the problems and life of Indian youth,their problems.
Western impact on Indian youth,call centers.
Indian family pressures on (especially) women
Call Center has become the symbol of India‘s rapidly globalising
economy.
Bhagat has an insight for the contemporary issues that are movers
and shakers in India.
How old valued and customs seem to be fast declining as we enter
the age of new India voice and follow the way of true values.
4. ‘Remember, a 35 year-old American’s brain and IQ is the
same as a ten-years-old Indian’s.
Use of Magic than logic for solutions of problems (God‘s call
)God says ,’I am your boss.’that promotes Bossism .
Concept of Emerging India with Globalization, Urban India

The novel gives binary image of Indian Society.’India of
Darkness and India of Light’ .
‘ Ocean brings light to my country.Every place on the map of
the India the Ocean is well off but the river (Ganga)brings
darkness to India-black river.’
River of Death where millions of Indian‘s dead are cremated.
While in poem,”To his coy mistress” by Andrew Marvell has
different image of river Ganga.
‘Thou by the Indian Ganges’ Side
Shouldest rubies find:I by the tide.’
8. Indian Education system,another Jungle and Elections
another feature of darkness.
A Glaring error of distinct zones of Darkness and
Light,coexistence of light and darkness in Delhi.
Cast v/s Class
Use of Binaries like,
Ganga –Ocean
Darkness-Light
Big bellies –Small bellies
Big cities like Delhi and Benglore belongs to light
while village like Laxmangadh belongs to darkness.
9. To Conclude....
There are other writers who have an image
of India as per their observations and experience of
India. Like Rudyard Kipling in Kim presented India as
the Mystic land of Sadhus and many more.....
But still real Indianness is an ongoing search
....it’s all about the way how India represented in
literature, we cann’t said that these are the real image
of India.
