Seasons cycle from fall to winter to spring to summer and back to fall.
Seasons are caused by the tilt of Earth as it revolves around the sun.

2. One year is broken into four seasons.

3. The different seasons are fall,
winter, spring, and summer.

7. In the winter the temperature is cold
and sometimes rainy or snowy.

12. Earth has an imaginary line running
through it. This line is called an axis.

13. Earth is tilted on its axis.

14. Earth’s seasons are caused by the tilt of
Earth as it revolves around the sun.

15. Because Earth is tilted, half of Earth faces the sun
while half of Earth faces away from the sun.

16. The hemisphere tipped toward the
sun experiences summer.

17. The hemisphere tilted away from
the sun experiences winter.

18. When neither axis is tilted toward the
sun the this makes fall and spring.
