My Literacy Autobiography
Literacy Autobiography As a girl growing up around a group of bikers, boys and two parents who listened to eighties hair bands and metal, you
wouldn't think that I read or was read to frequently before starting school. I pursued in reading quite often, actually. When I finally started school, I
had the tendency of keeping to myself and staying quiet. There never have been very many friends in the picture of my life. I learned at a young
age that there often are going to be cliques, even when you're an eight year old in girl scouts. I stood out in more ways than one, but for now I'm
only going to elucidate why reading is so salient to me. My family began to grow and soon I had two little brothers, after receiving a chalkboard I
began to teach...show more content...
I also ended up receiving a computer and I began writing my own stories, a lot of the time they were not very happy stories, one of them was even
called Melancholy I went a little something like,""
Going into highschool I was pretty gloomy, I wasn't happy with who I was or how I was feeling on the outlook of life, I ended up leaving my best
friend of eight years because of who she turned out to be, I'm glad that she is happy now and I hope the best for her. After that I read a lot. The
Perks of Being a Wallflower Stephen Chbosky was my favorite during the time. I learned that loving someone can be one sided, friendship or not, and
you can't give you're all to someone who will only use it. I found new friends, I became happy...
I was still finding out who I was then, even now I'm not done changing, but I'm not who I once was, I'm not sad all of the time, I have a very small
group of friends and I have changed for the better. My high school experience has been very interesting so far. Having few friends in life leads you to
finding an alternative; I read of adventures and friendships, I learned the meaning of love and what it means to care about someone, I put myself in the
shoes of those I read about. It's helped me to become independent and more

Autobiography Of My Family
I was born and raised into a hardworking family that are the complete opposite of culture alienators. My siblings and I are all first generation in
America on my mom's side and second generation on my dad's side. Life was very hard for my parents to raise all seven of us and depended on
my grandparents for most of their help. Being that my grandparents brought all nine of their kids to America from Belize it was also very hard for
them so survive and find stability. Most families that come to America from a third world country usually find it very difficult to keep up family
traditions and sometimes lose all contact. My family found a way to stay very close and keep the Belizean culture very alive still to this day. As you
can tell by now...show more content...
This left my mom with seven kids to raise by herself. Meaning one on one time was rare, because my mom is not a superhero and could not be in
multiple places at one time. Grief left my family and I in a place where we did not know what to do, but we eventually got out of it, and continued
on with our life. We always remembered the hard working parents we had, and the hard working mother we still had. I am resilient and got back
on my feet and continued to attend school, graduated elementary school, and will soon graduate from high school. Although, I have gone through
many difficulties it has made me work harder as an individual and choose my career choice at an early age. Being that I was very into the heart at
a young age, and my father passing from a heart disease, I always knew I wanted to study cardiology, and will someday soon become a
cardiologist. Being that my mother has attended medical school several times, I first handedly have seen how difficult it can be. I have been told
by many people to pick a different profession because of that; But because of how passionate I am about cardiology and the amount of times I have
experienced people deal with heart problems has assured me that I have chose the right profession. I being a very conscientious person has has also
assured me that I will be able to tackle medical school and become a cardiologist. I believe that the first steps of becoming a cardiologist is that I have
personally experienced people suffer from

My Writing Autobiography
My earliest memories of being read to were when I was five years of age and my
memories of writing were dated as far back as when I was nine years of age. My mother had
a fable stories collection book which was written in Spanish and every night she would read me
different stories. From reading The Three Little Pigs to reading The Tortoise and the Hare, I was
always joyful to hear those stories repeatedly.so I began to become intrigued about reading. As a
child I always preferred reading rather than writing but that began to change slowly as I grew up.
I can recall the time when I was in fourth grade writing constantly every week for my reading
class. At the time, my experiences in writing were mostly negative than positive because

My Autobiographical Portfolio
Creating this autobiographical portfolio was pretty difficult at first because I had not realized what I was going to write about. Initially, my project
was just a lot of drafts of documents and I had to do my best to try and combine them all honestly. It was not easy at first but after all the typing was
finished this project became extremely easy. It became just about getting things done and making sure they meant word count (if they had a word
count). What I learned about myself as a writer is that of course I should work on becoming a better writer and work harder on making sure all my
writings easily convey the message that I am trying to send. More or less I have to work hard to be less confusing and get better at putting my thoughts

My Autobiography : My Memoir Essay
My Memoir
I remember myself sitting near a little block with letters and my mother teaching me the name of each of them. She starts to sing me a song to help me
to memorize the alphabet. It is so funny singing the ABC song. At that instant, the door opens, and my father enters the room. That is the first thing
carved in my memory, and each time when I think about it, I conclude that we are the best family in the world.
Starting from my first days of life, my parents did everything to please me; additionally, they always tried to do their best to develop my literacy skills
and help me to become smarter. I always loved learning and each time when they made up some game or a new interaction, it was great fun to play. I
had no idea that learning could be challenging because each task that they offered was easy to accomplish and absolutely doable for me. I grew up
knowing that there was no process more exciting than learning. Besides, at the back of my mind, I was convinced that every new thing I learned was
changing me for better. When I became a schoolboy, my parents were pleased whenever my grades were excellent. I wanted them to feel pleased and
happy all the time. At the beginning, I strived to get an A to deserve some reward; for instance, getting some ice cream seemed to be a sufficient
motivation for me to learn a long text or do loads of assignments. However, later on, I started getting delighted just because when I managed to learn
something new, my knowledge made me

My Educational Autobiography Essay
My educational autobiography consists of my time from my early days in elementary school until the day I graduated from the University of
Southern California. I had many great experiences as well as some dreadful ones. The experiences from my educational career will mold the
teacher I will become in the future. My elementary schools years were spent at Kenter Canyon Elementary. I remember my very first teacher in
Kindergarten, Mrs. G, she was very kind to all her students. Her compassion towards students who were scared to be away from their parents for
the first time was extraordinary. Another memory I have at Kenter was when, Ms. Montgomery, who was in charge of the cafeteria would come to
our fifth grade class to discuss her life experiences during the civil rights movement. Mr. Osay, my teacher would let her speak to us directly and I
thought it was incredible that she was a few inches away from Dr. King when they marched on Washington. Mr. Osay was a great teacher, but I also
recall a moment when one of the female students wrote me a note. Mr. Osay, took the note from my hand, gathered the class together, and read it
aloud. I was humiliated and I did not want to go back to school. This is an experience I will remember when I am a teacher, to ensure my students feel
safe and welcomed at all times in my class. My middle school years were spent at Paul Revere Middle School. My sixth grade English teacher, Ms.
Schwartz, was the first teacher

My Autobiography Essay
My Autobiography "There is no one worth of worship except Allah, and Prophet Mohammed (saw) is the messenger of Allah" My life goes by the
above sentence. The firm belief in the oneness of Allah, my Lord, who has provided me with this life; the giver and taker of life. I believe that this
life is only a test as to which we will be judged for in the life hereafter. I was born on March 12, 1987at approximately 6:07am, at the Whittington
Hospital in Archway, on a humid spring morning, just before dawn. My two older sisters were also born in this hospital, and later, after my auspicious
birth, my four younger brothers and little sister were also born there. My younger sister, Aaysha was...show more content...
Hundreds of children must have been born there and we all had something in common. I realised that day, that I've probably seen many of these
children, or adults, in my fourteen years of living. They too, have probably seen me but none of us realised that we all had something in common.
I sat there for a long time, thinking about the beauty of life and how amazing the work of God is, how a tiny human lives in its mother's stomach
for nine months. As far as I know, there were no complications to my birth. My mother was ecstatic as I was the first son after two daughters. My
family are a lot different from the other stereotypically cultural Asian families I know. Most Asian families I know consider sons "better" than
daughters and I am thankful that my own parents don't have this warped mentality. However, after two daughters, I know my mother was secretly
hoping for a son this time, as raising a son was obviously something she had not yet experienced and it would be undoubtedly refreshing. When my
mother was pregnant with my brother Ismaeel, and I was old enough to understand the process of it, I asked my mother if she wanted a boy or a girl.
She replied that she just wanted a healthy baby, and I knew that a baby's health was far more important than its gender. I'm thankful to my mother for
having this mentality as I believe that parents' views are often inflicted on their

My Autobiography
As a kid, I was always extremely talkative. So talkative that teachers would get on to me. Teachers would say so many different things to me, but I
never let it bother me. The most common thing they would say would be like,"Kate, quit talking and go move to a different seat."
Usually, I would respond back with,"Okay" in an annoyed tone, because all I wanted to do was talk. I would still find a way to talk to someone else,
but after a while, I would hear my teacher say my name again.
"Kate this is your last chance to quit talking or else you're going to the office or I'm going to be calling your mom," they would say.
"Okay," I would quietly respond back.
Throughout the years as I go little older I started caring about the little things people would say about me. Like one of the little things that would
bother me was when some of my friends or even some classmate would point out how I have an accent, or how I would do things differently than
them. I became very subconscious about my speaking every single time I would talk because I felt like everyone would be paying close attention to it.
I didn't realize that as a kid that having an accent would be that noticeable to others. Suddenly my life took a turn when I entered 5th grade. It
started out great. I had a few friends that I could communicate and hang out with, but as weeks gone by I started to become like a closed door. I rarely
said a word to any of my friends. The most I would have talked was probably a sentence or two

My Educational Autobiography
My Educational Autobiography Our experiences in life shape who we become. Experiences are all around us. Sometimes, things that seem so
insignificant at the time become part of who we are and who we want to be. It is not always just the good experiences that shape us, but also the
bad. Reflecting on our past experiences will help us grow. My goal is to become a teacher, and not just a teacher, but a person who will impact the
lives of those I am teaching so that one day when someone is writing their autobiography, I will be the one that they reflect on as the one who made
an impact. When I began elementary school, I remember being scared to go to school and leave my mom. Each morning I would cry and beg to stay

I sat down with her and explained to her the situation. There was no judgement, only complete compassion. At the time, I just remember thinking
how nice she was to be so understanding, but looking back I realize now that how much she really influenced me. I want to be able to help my
students in their times of need the way she helped me. I want my students to trust me and know that I am willing to help them whatever the situation
may be. I did not realize initially in my college years that teaching was what I was called to do. I had begun my education in the nursing program. My
mom was a nurse and I admired her and believed that I would follow in her footsteps. However, while in the nursing program, I began working as the
childcare coordinator for my church. It was there that my love for teaching flourished. I watched children as they brightened up when they were learning
. I began to see that my calling in life was education. It was then that I knew I wanted to be an elementary school teacher. I had found something
that I was very good at. I was comfortable with myself and my abilities to not only tech these children, but to help them grow, and have faith in their
abilities. It wasn't necessarily a person who influenced me this time, but the experience that I had. In high school, I did well and had close to a 4.0
GPA. I even graduated in the top 25 of my class. I went into college in my first few semesters also

Personal Narrative: My Autobiography
As I sit here with my fingers on the keyboard, I am nervous about writing this autobiography. This week I have mentally had to prepare myself up to
complete this assignment. People that know me intimately know my story, but it is a bit more challenging to share intimate details of your life with a
complete stranger. As I gave it more thought, I realized that is the purpose of the assignment. We will face students that will be just as afraid to reveal
the details of their lives. As professionals we must use our own life experiences to guide students into turning a negative situation into something
affirmative. From the very beginning of my life it appeared that I would be just another statistic. My mother was an eighteen year old high...show more

On this particular day my sister had a friend spending the night. My mother and stepfather began drinking and arguing over something trivial. I
attempted to mediate, but the screaming continued. I decided to get my two year old brother, sister and her friend and take them to my room
until the situation deescalated. I closed the door to my room and entertained the younger kids until we all fell asleep. A while later I heard my
mother screaming at my stepfather to come into the house. Repeatedly she said, "Walter come in". After the third time she asked him to come in I
heard three loud noises. The noised sounded like fireworks going off. After the last pop I did not hear my mother say anything else. I jumped out
of my bed and ran into the living room. When I made it to the living room I saw my mother lying on the floor and my stepfather standing in the
doorway with a gun pointed at her. I screamed when I saw her and kneeled down to check to see if she was breathing. I could not feel a pulse and I
started yelling at my stepfather saying, "Why did you have to shoot my mom?" I stood up and began walking toward him and he said "stop right
there or I will have to shoot you too!" I stopped as he demanded and just stood there looking at him. He finally yelled at me to call the police. When
I ran to the phone he left and went to a neighbor's house. I stayed by my mother's side until the police and ambulance came. By the time the
ambulance arrived, it was too late, my mother had passed. I was only fifteen years old, my sister was seven and my baby brother was two years

I have never found anything more important to the growth of my well–being than friendships. I will be talking about my friendships as a child, the
heartbreak of having to lose them, and comparing that to the way I value friendships now. So, let's go back in time to when I was a young child at
the age of four. When I was four years old I found my best friend and he continues to hold that spot to this day. His name is Garrett. When we first
met, he was six and I was four, so logically we didn't get along at all. The way I met him was, my dad was dating a woman named Kristi. He was
getting really close to her and saw that Kristi was getting along with my sister and I very well. So, he wanted us to meet the rest of Kristi's family. The

He wouldn't charge us rent or anything. So, we joyfully agreed to go ahead and do it. When we got there we soon noticed we were now outside of
our element. We were now eating three full meals compared to before and what we thought was three full meals. In comparison what we ate
before was the size of two small bowls. We drank sweet tea while we laid on the beach under an umbrella with painting and oceans all around us.
We felt like we were in heaven just as the rich in Nguyen's poem did.(Binh Khiem, 410) Since where we were living was thirty minutes away from
the middle school and it was a rich neighborhood, neither me nor my sister made any friends. I soon became lonely and was willing to give
anything to move back to Minnesota. We knew we couldn't do that since we had sold our house in Minnesota and were getting a place to live for
free. I became lonely fast, it seemed like only yesterday I was smelling the flower's freshness like Gabriela Mistral did, and now I'm heavy with
weeping knowing that I would probably never see Garrett or any of my other friends ever again.(Mistral, 519) This is when I realized exactly what
was important to me, and I agree with what Hafiz writes, "Two hundred sacks of jewels were not worth thy soul's disgrace."(Hafiz, 408) Or in my
case, there is no amount of money that could ever replace friendship. We would soon learn though that Leo Tolstoy was

Autobiography
I sit on my desk with vivid memories of my childhood. It's almost as if my visions are projected in front of me, almost as if I can spring into them and
reenact my sweet childhood.
I remember my day trips out with my family. We were together as a whole then, and I was full to the brim with love. I remember my mum joining me
on the 'gentle'rides while my dad videotaped my laughs and my joys.
I felt induced to return my love and appreciation to my family. I'm always being told that I was an energetic, affectionate young one. I always used to

Everything was as normal as can be, but then in 1995 my parents...show more content...

of what I saw. I was too shocked to realise what had happened. That put me off of secondnary schools immediately.
When I finally started secondnary school, Clapton Girls' Technology College, I had an endless question in my head which I couldn't manage to anwser,
was this the right school for me?
I've had a lot of inconvenient periods in the past and i've had some pleasurable times in Clapton Girls', when I actually would come home to my mum

The significant occurrence in Clapton Girls' has to be the most stressful part of my life
I remember I had my first phone call from a man, with a deep degrading voice, claiming to be a teacher in my school. He stated all the humiliating acts

My name is Tiffany Amber Deramos. I live in Queens, New York, and am in 5th Grade. I was born on a warm and sunny day, so I am told, on March

Grade at PS/IS268Q Elementary. I won an award for honors for all for terms and an award for perfect attendance. School is very important to me
and I like my teachers and the subjects we study. I study a lot because I do not have many friends outside of school. I do not have good memories
of my younger childhood, but my parents tell me that I was a pretty good baby and slept a lot I am sure I cried, too. I started walking when I was

began to utter my first spoken work in English. I am told that this really started it, and now my parents cannot shut me up. I live with my Mother, Vanny

Essay on My Musical Autobiography
Ever since I was a young kid, I was extremely fond of music. Music was all around me: on the television, in school, at the store, and especially in
the car. Not only did I love to listen to music, but I loved to play it as well. I am not saying I was any good at playing music, because I was not. But
to a young child, hitting their hand on anything could be music, and to me it definitely was. As a child, I was exposed to rock music and oldies.
However, I grew up in Prince George's county, so I started listening to rap, just like every other kid. But by the time I enteredhigh school, I began to like
rock music again. I became an avid rock listener. Once again, my music taste has changed. Now I only like to listen to trance and house...show more

Throughout my life, the emphasis of music has changed. As I got older, less emphasis was placed on music. In elementary school, it was mandatory
for every student to take music class every year until they graduate. When I got to middle school though, we just had to take one semester of music.
Then when I entered high school, music became optional. I think this is a tremendous mistake, because music plays such a significant role in
everyone's lives, whether we believe it or not. I am not that great of a singer, therefore, I have never sung outside of the shower. I do not play any
musical instruments either, though I would not mind learning how to play the drums. I have received a little formal training in music when I was
in elementary school. I used to be able to read some notes, but I probably have forgotten everything now. I do wish to perform music someday, if I
could ever learn. I think the most valuable thing for me to learn in this course would be to understand the role of music in the world, and how it has
come to shape the people in it. I would like to understand the different origins of music throughout the world. I feel like I already have a great
appreciation for music though. This is what I hope to get out of this

My Autobiography Analysis
During the cool fall Saturday mornings, my dad would wake me up early to leave for rocket football games. We drove in a grey dodge truck that
would jam out to music like Led Zeppelin, the Eagles, and Pink Floyd. My dad when he was younger used to play the drums, so while we were
driving he would tap the steering wheel and the fold up seat in between us with the beat of the song. Those were the first moments that my passion for
drumming was fueled. By late elementary school, my parents gave me some electric drum sticks that would connected to my mp3 player and would
make noise with every tap. I played those for years until I reached middle school where I adapted and found another way to show my passion. My

deeper into technique and focused practice instead of playing random songs. By February, two friends of mine committed suicide a month apart from

I have always loved to write, and it became even more evident when I entered elementary school. I quickly befriended a girl named Beth, who lived
just down the road from me. One afternoon that I remember in particular was in the middle of the summer. She and I were set to write a book. We
had read countless storybooks on our own, and we could not see why we could not write one too. We sat down with a notebook and two pencils, and
we were set to go.
Beth and I took turns writing. I remember only being able to write about a half of a page before my hand would begin to hurt. We must have
worked on it for about four hours, and then we were done with our masterpiece. Beth and I both thought that our book was by far the best we had
ever read. We were sure we were the most ingenious children alive. The end result of our story was not so pleasant, however. We decided to read
our story to my younger sister Kari, to gain her opinion on our brilliance. Kari hated the story. She became bored very quickly and found something
else to do. Beth and I were crushed. However, we were determined to try again some day, and we did. We wrote countless stories

My Literacy Autobiography

  • 1. My Literacy Autobiography Literacy Autobiography As a girl growing up around a group of bikers, boys and two parents who listened to eighties hair bands and metal, you wouldn't think that I read or was read to frequently before starting school. I pursued in reading quite often, actually. When I finally started school, I had the tendency of keeping to myself and staying quiet. There never have been very many friends in the picture of my life. I learned at a young age that there often are going to be cliques, even when you're an eight year old in girl scouts. I stood out in more ways than one, but for now I'm only going to elucidate why reading is so salient to me. My family began to grow and soon I had two little brothers, after receiving a chalkboard I began to teach...show more content... I also ended up receiving a computer and I began writing my own stories, a lot of the time they were not very happy stories, one of them was even called Melancholy I went a little something like,"" Going into highschool I was pretty gloomy, I wasn't happy with who I was or how I was feeling on the outlook of life, I ended up leaving my best friend of eight years because of who she turned out to be, I'm glad that she is happy now and I hope the best for her. After that I read a lot. The Perks of Being a Wallflower Stephen Chbosky was my favorite during the time. I learned that loving someone can be one sided, friendship or not, and you can't give you're all to someone who will only use it. I found new friends, I became happy... I was still finding out who I was then, even now I'm not done changing, but I'm not who I once was, I'm not sad all of the time, I have a very small group of friends and I have changed for the better. My high school experience has been very interesting so far. Having few friends in life leads you to finding an alternative; I read of adventures and friendships, I learned the meaning of love and what it means to care about someone, I put myself in the shoes of those I read about. It's helped me to become independent and more Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Autobiography Of My Family I was born and raised into a hardworking family that are the complete opposite of culture alienators. My siblings and I are all first generation in America on my mom's side and second generation on my dad's side. Life was very hard for my parents to raise all seven of us and depended on my grandparents for most of their help. Being that my grandparents brought all nine of their kids to America from Belize it was also very hard for them so survive and find stability. Most families that come to America from a third world country usually find it very difficult to keep up family traditions and sometimes lose all contact. My family found a way to stay very close and keep the Belizean culture very alive still to this day. As you can tell by now...show more content... This left my mom with seven kids to raise by herself. Meaning one on one time was rare, because my mom is not a superhero and could not be in multiple places at one time. Grief left my family and I in a place where we did not know what to do, but we eventually got out of it, and continued on with our life. We always remembered the hard working parents we had, and the hard working mother we still had. I am resilient and got back on my feet and continued to attend school, graduated elementary school, and will soon graduate from high school. Although, I have gone through many difficulties it has made me work harder as an individual and choose my career choice at an early age. Being that I was very into the heart at a young age, and my father passing from a heart disease, I always knew I wanted to study cardiology, and will someday soon become a cardiologist. Being that my mother has attended medical school several times, I first handedly have seen how difficult it can be. I have been told by many people to pick a different profession because of that; But because of how passionate I am about cardiology and the amount of times I have experienced people deal with heart problems has assured me that I have chose the right profession. I being a very conscientious person has has also assured me that I will be able to tackle medical school and become a cardiologist. I believe that the first steps of becoming a cardiologist is that I have personally experienced people suffer from Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. My Writing Autobiography My earliest memories of being read to were when I was five years of age and my memories of writing were dated as far back as when I was nine years of age. My mother had a fable stories collection book which was written in Spanish and every night she would read me different stories. From reading The Three Little Pigs to reading The Tortoise and the Hare, I was always joyful to hear those stories repeatedly.so I began to become intrigued about reading. As a child I always preferred reading rather than writing but that began to change slowly as I grew up. I can recall the time when I was in fourth grade writing constantly every week for my reading class. At the time, my experiences in writing were mostly negative than positive because Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. My Autobiographical Portfolio Creating this autobiographical portfolio was pretty difficult at first because I had not realized what I was going to write about. Initially, my project was just a lot of drafts of documents and I had to do my best to try and combine them all honestly. It was not easy at first but after all the typing was finished this project became extremely easy. It became just about getting things done and making sure they meant word count (if they had a word count). What I learned about myself as a writer is that of course I should work on becoming a better writer and work harder on making sure all my writings easily convey the message that I am trying to send. More or less I have to work hard to be less confusing and get better at putting my thoughts Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. My Autobiography : My Memoir Essay My Memoir I remember myself sitting near a little block with letters and my mother teaching me the name of each of them. She starts to sing me a song to help me to memorize the alphabet. It is so funny singing the ABC song. At that instant, the door opens, and my father enters the room. That is the first thing carved in my memory, and each time when I think about it, I conclude that we are the best family in the world. Starting from my first days of life, my parents did everything to please me; additionally, they always tried to do their best to develop my literacy skills and help me to become smarter. I always loved learning and each time when they made up some game or a new interaction, it was great fun to play. I had no idea that learning could be challenging because each task that they offered was easy to accomplish and absolutely doable for me. I grew up knowing that there was no process more exciting than learning. Besides, at the back of my mind, I was convinced that every new thing I learned was changing me for better. When I became a schoolboy, my parents were pleased whenever my grades were excellent. I wanted them to feel pleased and happy all the time. At the beginning, I strived to get an A to deserve some reward; for instance, getting some ice cream seemed to be a sufficient motivation for me to learn a long text or do loads of assignments. However, later on, I started getting delighted just because when I managed to learn something new, my knowledge made me Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. My Educational Autobiography Essay My educational autobiography consists of my time from my early days in elementary school until the day I graduated from the University of Southern California. I had many great experiences as well as some dreadful ones. The experiences from my educational career will mold the teacher I will become in the future. My elementary schools years were spent at Kenter Canyon Elementary. I remember my very first teacher in Kindergarten, Mrs. G, she was very kind to all her students. Her compassion towards students who were scared to be away from their parents for the first time was extraordinary. Another memory I have at Kenter was when, Ms. Montgomery, who was in charge of the cafeteria would come to our fifth grade class to discuss her life experiences during the civil rights movement. Mr. Osay, my teacher would let her speak to us directly and I thought it was incredible that she was a few inches away from Dr. King when they marched on Washington. Mr. Osay was a great teacher, but I also recall a moment when one of the female students wrote me a note. Mr. Osay, took the note from my hand, gathered the class together, and read it aloud. I was humiliated and I did not want to go back to school. This is an experience I will remember when I am a teacher, to ensure my students feel safe and welcomed at all times in my class. My middle school years were spent at Paul Revere Middle School. My sixth grade English teacher, Ms. Schwartz, was the first teacher Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. My Autobiography Essay My Autobiography "There is no one worth of worship except Allah, and Prophet Mohammed (saw) is the messenger of Allah" My life goes by the above sentence. The firm belief in the oneness of Allah, my Lord, who has provided me with this life; the giver and taker of life. I believe that this life is only a test as to which we will be judged for in the life hereafter. I was born on March 12, 1987at approximately 6:07am, at the Whittington Hospital in Archway, on a humid spring morning, just before dawn. My two older sisters were also born in this hospital, and later, after my auspicious birth, my four younger brothers and little sister were also born there. My younger sister, Aaysha was...show more content... Hundreds of children must have been born there and we all had something in common. I realised that day, that I've probably seen many of these children, or adults, in my fourteen years of living. They too, have probably seen me but none of us realised that we all had something in common. I sat there for a long time, thinking about the beauty of life and how amazing the work of God is, how a tiny human lives in its mother's stomach for nine months. As far as I know, there were no complications to my birth. My mother was ecstatic as I was the first son after two daughters. My family are a lot different from the other stereotypically cultural Asian families I know. Most Asian families I know consider sons "better" than daughters and I am thankful that my own parents don't have this warped mentality. However, after two daughters, I know my mother was secretly hoping for a son this time, as raising a son was obviously something she had not yet experienced and it would be undoubtedly refreshing. When my mother was pregnant with my brother Ismaeel, and I was old enough to understand the process of it, I asked my mother if she wanted a boy or a girl. She replied that she just wanted a healthy baby, and I knew that a baby's health was far more important than its gender. I'm thankful to my mother for having this mentality as I believe that parents' views are often inflicted on their Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. My Autobiography As a kid, I was always extremely talkative. So talkative that teachers would get on to me. Teachers would say so many different things to me, but I never let it bother me. The most common thing they would say would be like,"Kate, quit talking and go move to a different seat." Usually, I would respond back with,"Okay" in an annoyed tone, because all I wanted to do was talk. I would still find a way to talk to someone else, but after a while, I would hear my teacher say my name again. "Kate this is your last chance to quit talking or else you're going to the office or I'm going to be calling your mom," they would say. "Okay," I would quietly respond back. Throughout the years as I go little older I started caring about the little things people would say about me. Like one of the little things that would bother me was when some of my friends or even some classmate would point out how I have an accent, or how I would do things differently than them. I became very subconscious about my speaking every single time I would talk because I felt like everyone would be paying close attention to it. I didn't realize that as a kid that having an accent would be that noticeable to others. Suddenly my life took a turn when I entered 5th grade. It started out great. I had a few friends that I could communicate and hang out with, but as weeks gone by I started to become like a closed door. I rarely said a word to any of my friends. The most I would have talked was probably a sentence or two Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. My Educational Autobiography My Educational Autobiography Our experiences in life shape who we become. Experiences are all around us. Sometimes, things that seem so insignificant at the time become part of who we are and who we want to be. It is not always just the good experiences that shape us, but also the bad. Reflecting on our past experiences will help us grow. My goal is to become a teacher, and not just a teacher, but a person who will impact the lives of those I am teaching so that one day when someone is writing their autobiography, I will be the one that they reflect on as the one who made an impact. When I began elementary school, I remember being scared to go to school and leave my mom. Each morning I would cry and beg to stay home. By the time I would...show more content... I sat down with her and explained to her the situation. There was no judgement, only complete compassion. At the time, I just remember thinking how nice she was to be so understanding, but looking back I realize now that how much she really influenced me. I want to be able to help my students in their times of need the way she helped me. I want my students to trust me and know that I am willing to help them whatever the situation may be. I did not realize initially in my college years that teaching was what I was called to do. I had begun my education in the nursing program. My mom was a nurse and I admired her and believed that I would follow in her footsteps. However, while in the nursing program, I began working as the childcare coordinator for my church. It was there that my love for teaching flourished. I watched children as they brightened up when they were learning . I began to see that my calling in life was education. It was then that I knew I wanted to be an elementary school teacher. I had found something that I was very good at. I was comfortable with myself and my abilities to not only tech these children, but to help them grow, and have faith in their abilities. It wasn't necessarily a person who influenced me this time, but the experience that I had. In high school, I did well and had close to a 4.0 GPA. I even graduated in the top 25 of my class. I went into college in my first few semesters also Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Personal Narrative: My Autobiography As I sit here with my fingers on the keyboard, I am nervous about writing this autobiography. This week I have mentally had to prepare myself up to complete this assignment. People that know me intimately know my story, but it is a bit more challenging to share intimate details of your life with a complete stranger. As I gave it more thought, I realized that is the purpose of the assignment. We will face students that will be just as afraid to reveal the details of their lives. As professionals we must use our own life experiences to guide students into turning a negative situation into something affirmative. From the very beginning of my life it appeared that I would be just another statistic. My mother was an eighteen year old high...show more content... On this particular day my sister had a friend spending the night. My mother and stepfather began drinking and arguing over something trivial. I attempted to mediate, but the screaming continued. I decided to get my two year old brother, sister and her friend and take them to my room until the situation deescalated. I closed the door to my room and entertained the younger kids until we all fell asleep. A while later I heard my mother screaming at my stepfather to come into the house. Repeatedly she said, "Walter come in". After the third time she asked him to come in I heard three loud noises. The noised sounded like fireworks going off. After the last pop I did not hear my mother say anything else. I jumped out of my bed and ran into the living room. When I made it to the living room I saw my mother lying on the floor and my stepfather standing in the doorway with a gun pointed at her. I screamed when I saw her and kneeled down to check to see if she was breathing. I could not feel a pulse and I started yelling at my stepfather saying, "Why did you have to shoot my mom?" I stood up and began walking toward him and he said "stop right there or I will have to shoot you too!" I stopped as he demanded and just stood there looking at him. He finally yelled at me to call the police. When I ran to the phone he left and went to a neighbor's house. I stayed by my mother's side until the police and ambulance came. By the time the ambulance arrived, it was too late, my mother had passed. I was only fifteen years old, my sister was seven and my baby brother was two years Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. I have never found anything more important to the growth of my well–being than friendships. I will be talking about my friendships as a child, the heartbreak of having to lose them, and comparing that to the way I value friendships now. So, let's go back in time to when I was a young child at the age of four. When I was four years old I found my best friend and he continues to hold that spot to this day. His name is Garrett. When we first met, he was six and I was four, so logically we didn't get along at all. The way I met him was, my dad was dating a woman named Kristi. He was getting really close to her and saw that Kristi was getting along with my sister and I very well. So, he wanted us to meet the rest of Kristi's family. The ...show more content... He wouldn't charge us rent or anything. So, we joyfully agreed to go ahead and do it. When we got there we soon noticed we were now outside of our element. We were now eating three full meals compared to before and what we thought was three full meals. In comparison what we ate before was the size of two small bowls. We drank sweet tea while we laid on the beach under an umbrella with painting and oceans all around us. We felt like we were in heaven just as the rich in Nguyen's poem did.(Binh Khiem, 410) Since where we were living was thirty minutes away from the middle school and it was a rich neighborhood, neither me nor my sister made any friends. I soon became lonely and was willing to give anything to move back to Minnesota. We knew we couldn't do that since we had sold our house in Minnesota and were getting a place to live for free. I became lonely fast, it seemed like only yesterday I was smelling the flower's freshness like Gabriela Mistral did, and now I'm heavy with weeping knowing that I would probably never see Garrett or any of my other friends ever again.(Mistral, 519) This is when I realized exactly what was important to me, and I agree with what Hafiz writes, "Two hundred sacks of jewels were not worth thy soul's disgrace."(Hafiz, 408) Or in my case, there is no amount of money that could ever replace friendship. We would soon learn though that Leo Tolstoy was Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 13. My Autobiography Essay Autobiography I sit on my desk with vivid memories of my childhood. It's almost as if my visions are projected in front of me, almost as if I can spring into them and reenact my sweet childhood. I remember my day trips out with my family. We were together as a whole then, and I was full to the brim with love. I remember my mum joining me on the 'gentle'rides while my dad videotaped my laughs and my joys. I felt induced to return my love and appreciation to my family. I'm always being told that I was an energetic, affectionate young one. I always used to say "Hello" to people and bare my teeth with a cheesy grin. Everything was as normal as can be, but then in 1995 my parents...show more content... However, the thought of secondnary school frightened me. I saw my brother go through secondnary school. I remember the day how he got beaten up. I walked in my gran's house to see my brother on her bed with blood pouring down his neck. I was around eight years old. Nothing embraced me of what I saw. I was too shocked to realise what had happened. That put me off of secondnary schools immediately. When I finally started secondnary school, Clapton Girls' Technology College, I had an endless question in my head which I couldn't manage to anwser, was this the right school for me? I've had a lot of inconvenient periods in the past and i've had some pleasurable times in Clapton Girls', when I actually would come home to my mum and say "Mum, today was a brilliant day". But mostly my time in this school was disgraceful. The significant occurrence in Clapton Girls' has to be the most stressful part of my life I remember I had my first phone call from a man, with a deep degrading voice, claiming to be a teacher in my school. He stated all the humiliating acts he was going to perform on me. I kept picturing, imagining, this man, who he declared he was, actually accomplishing his vile fantasies.

  • 15. My Autobiography My name is Tiffany Amber Deramos. I live in Queens, New York, and am in 5th Grade. I was born on a warm and sunny day, so I am told, on March 26, 2002 at the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan. I started going to school when I was six–years old. I went to Kindergarten through Fifth Grade at PS/IS268Q Elementary. I won an award for honors for all for terms and an award for perfect attendance. School is very important to me and I like my teachers and the subjects we study. I study a lot because I do not have many friends outside of school. I do not have good memories of my younger childhood, but my parents tell me that I was a pretty good baby and slept a lot I am sure I cried, too. I started walking when I was just over a year old. Maybe walking is the wrong word, more like taking a few steps and stumbling very awkwardly. It was also at this time that I began to utter my first spoken work in English. I am told that this really started it, and now my parents cannot shut me up. I live with my Mother, Vanny and my Father, John in Queens, New York. I am the only child. Both of my parents were born in Guyana but grew up in the United States. It was important to my grandparents that my parents grow up with American customs and traditions, and to learn to speak English properly. This is a tradition that my parents kept, and they make sure we try to be as American as possible. We do not forget traditions from Guyana, but we know we live in America and must try to be as Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. Essay on My Musical Autobiography Ever since I was a young kid, I was extremely fond of music. Music was all around me: on the television, in school, at the store, and especially in the car. Not only did I love to listen to music, but I loved to play it as well. I am not saying I was any good at playing music, because I was not. But to a young child, hitting their hand on anything could be music, and to me it definitely was. As a child, I was exposed to rock music and oldies. However, I grew up in Prince George's county, so I started listening to rap, just like every other kid. But by the time I enteredhigh school, I began to like rock music again. I became an avid rock listener. Once again, my music taste has changed. Now I only like to listen to trance and house...show more content... Throughout my life, the emphasis of music has changed. As I got older, less emphasis was placed on music. In elementary school, it was mandatory for every student to take music class every year until they graduate. When I got to middle school though, we just had to take one semester of music. Then when I entered high school, music became optional. I think this is a tremendous mistake, because music plays such a significant role in everyone's lives, whether we believe it or not. I am not that great of a singer, therefore, I have never sung outside of the shower. I do not play any musical instruments either, though I would not mind learning how to play the drums. I have received a little formal training in music when I was in elementary school. I used to be able to read some notes, but I probably have forgotten everything now. I do wish to perform music someday, if I could ever learn. I think the most valuable thing for me to learn in this course would be to understand the role of music in the world, and how it has come to shape the people in it. I would like to understand the different origins of music throughout the world. I feel like I already have a great appreciation for music though. This is what I hope to get out of this Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. My Autobiography Analysis During the cool fall Saturday mornings, my dad would wake me up early to leave for rocket football games. We drove in a grey dodge truck that would jam out to music like Led Zeppelin, the Eagles, and Pink Floyd. My dad when he was younger used to play the drums, so while we were driving he would tap the steering wheel and the fold up seat in between us with the beat of the song. Those were the first moments that my passion for drumming was fueled. By late elementary school, my parents gave me some electric drum sticks that would connected to my mp3 player and would make noise with every tap. I played those for years until I reached middle school where I adapted and found another way to show my passion. My playing really started to become...show more content... I was in the schools drum line, I was making new friends, and I was always busy. That winter was also the time I received my drum set and the time I started lessons. I was finally able to take everything from the Rock Band game and apply it to the actually drum kit. I would practice every day for about an hour, because I loved playing them that much and my parents would not let me play longer than an hour at a time due to the noise. My Sophomore year became very difficult for me. Early fall my mom had a meltdown and left home for a short period of time. It was devastating in my life. That day seemed slow and unforgiving for the emotions flying. My birthday was only a few weeks away, and as a gift my dad bought me a new cymbal for my drum kit. That day my dad decided to give me the gift early to help get through the time. I began practicing more and delving deeper into technique and focused practice instead of playing random songs. By February, two friends of mine committed suicide a month apart from each other. I was struggling to stay on top of my school work and between school and home life seemed empty and haunting. The one constant in my life during this time was practicing on my drum set and practicing with the drum line I was Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I have changed very much throughout the years, both as I grew older and as I discovered more aspects of my own personality. I remember the fear that my first writing held. My mother did, in fact, see it and I was in more trouble than before. It was definitely not a wise choice on my part, but it certainly did provide a very colorful first memory of writing! I have always loved to write, and it became even more evident when I entered elementary school. I quickly befriended a girl named Beth, who lived just down the road from me. One afternoon that I remember in particular was in the middle of the summer. She and I were set to write a book. We had read countless storybooks on our own, and we could not see why we could not write one too. We sat down with a notebook and two pencils, and we were set to go. Beth and I took turns writing. I remember only being able to write about a half of a page before my hand would begin to hurt. We must have worked on it for about four hours, and then we were done with our masterpiece. Beth and I both thought that our book was by far the best we had ever read. We were sure we were the most ingenious children alive. The end result of our story was not so pleasant, however. We decided to read our story to my younger sister Kari, to gain her opinion on our brilliance. Kari hated the story. She became bored very quickly and found something else to do. Beth and I were crushed. However, we were determined to try again some day, and we did. We wrote countless stories Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I have had many obstacles Spring track last year I participated in the event Javelin. Notice how I said "participated", I wasn't a consistent scorer. But I did try my best, I worked hard at my event and my biggest obstacle was making it to states requirement, its 150.5ft which is pretty far for throwing a spear. On the other hand, I started last year in the season throwing 89ft to 90ft on lucky days. Every day I practiced, every day I worked hard, every day I put 110% into that event, and every day I couldn't get 150.5ft. I had team mates that could throw between 120ft to 148ft but I was still stuck in between 80ft – 90ft. I ended the season throwing Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. My Literary Autobiography My Literary Autobiography Reading and writing are essential to any humans' way of life. From the ages of 3 to 6 my mom had read to me every night before bedtime. The stories she had read to me ranged from fairytales to Dr. Seuss. The first chapter book I remember reading was in 1st grade. The teacher allowed us access to one book from her bookshelf. I chose Kristy's Big Day from The Babysitters Club collection. I took such a huge liking to it that I begged my mom to buy me a collection of the books, which now reside at my aunt's house. It took me the whole summer to a set of 15 books. While, I was in 3rd grade I began to write poetry. I showed my teacher some of the poems and she thought they were so incredible that she wanted me to write more, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
