Descriptive Essay About My Village
Wherever I am, I find it hard to resist the tempting call of my hometown. My hometown is a small village located in Shandong province. There are
about two thousand people in the village. Small as it is, it's a very beautiful place and has its own folk culture. The weather is warm in winter and
cool in summer. It's a good place for tourism.
The most attractions in the village are the river around my hometown and the green hills opposite the river. On the hills there are largetea plantations
and fruit trees. The river, in which there are all kinds of big and smooth cobbles, flows gurgling in four seasons, with groups of fish and shrimps
playing in the water. When spring was coming, the fields look like a green carpet, and the willows by the river are putting forth a lot of tender
branches. With breeze blowing, the long thin branches gently brush the cool and refreshing water; there are groups of ducks having fun in the
river. Spring is also a season of sowing. When the parents are working in the field, the child are playing all kinds of games near the river, such as
swing, eagle catches chicken, seesaw and so on. Summer follows spring. The children sit on the large stones in the river, where they pat the water and
make splashes. The sound of water, and the noise of the children's chatting and laughing are mixed together. The birds in the woods are unwilling to be
lonely, singing and dancing with joy. The old people sat under the big trees talking about their life

Descriptive Essay About Happiness
The wind is ripping at our hair, both of us are panting to get some air into our lungs and throughout our bodies. The strain is almost too much to bear,
but we finally make it. We reached the top of the hill and I won against my friend in our bike race through the city. Feeling like I might suffocate and
fall off my bike may not seem like something that can make me happy, but if it's with my best friend, anything can make me happy.Happiness to me is
being able to have fun and enjoy small and big moments with the people you love. It should come easily without having to put much effort into
achieving it. Happiness should not be something I must chase, but it should float onto my lap while I'm sitting with my feet kicked up. The greatest
example of being filled with happiness would be the day I rode through the cities with my most beloved friend.
This happiness filled drive through the cities started in the car. On a warm June morning, Sabrina picked me up from my house and we set off on
the road. I made a special playlist to dance and sing our lungs out the full hour and a half drive up to the twin cities. We had not seen each other for
quite some time so this drive was especially important to catch up on our lives and some juicy gossip. This is one of my favorite things to do with
Sabrina because even when all we do is sit and do nothing, I find that I enjoy myself to the fullest extent. Sitting there listening to my friend talk
about how annoying a classmate is, or how she tried a new food just puts a smile on my face. Singing until we're out of breath and taking the time to
listen to all the events in our lives is one of the things I loved to do and I valued all the things we shared with one another.
We then began to transition our car ride into a bike ride. Before arriving at Fort Snelling to start biking, we decided to stop by Caribou Coffee for a
quick snack. We drove right past Caribou Coffee for two to three miles before we realized the GPS was screaming at us to make a U–turn. Eventually,
Sabrina and I got our coffees and sat down to talk about where we'd like to bike. We decided upon following the trails by Fort Snelling toMinnehaha
Falls. After downing our drinks, and driving to Fort Snelling, the

Descriptive Essay About Autumn
Misty dew covers the entire surface of the field. The yellowing corn stalks stand erect and proud until my grandpas tractor comes to end their
growth. Autumn slowly weaves its way in and leaves a stain of brilliant color in its wake. Not everyone enjoys such colors, but when you take a
second to step outside your doorstep, and look at all the wonders that surround you, you'd be surprised at how marvelous the world can truly be. To me,
Autumn is a time for relishing in the colors. Soaking in the oranges and reds while sitting by a warm fire. It's a time for remembering that everything
does end, but it does not have to end in the dreadful way we think it will. Autumn is a time for the closeness of others to keep out the chill of the
morning and the starry–eyed darkness of the night.
The colors are astonishing. No longer does green dwell the trees. It seems the entire world is on fire. The bright yellow has mingled with the
orange to create small flames, flickering from the branches of trees. They fall to the ground and ignite the earth. It has been said before that fire is
pure and cleans everything it touches. It takes something broken and dead and gives it one last spurt of beauty. One last goodbye before it leaves
forever. The bed of the fire is a deep blue, so searing it burns any who come near. The heat makes my eyes water and stings my uncovered face. I want
to get as close as possible. To see the embers be swept with the glorious reds and royal blues. The heat is

Descriptive Essay On Dystopia
Dystopian Setting
The city that once had homed thousands and been the most economically successful country ever, was now a contaminated wasteland. The land
looked dry, destroyed and lonely. The morning breeze felt like crying sorrows, and the grey deceitful sky awed down at us. In the deepest corner of
despair lies dystopia where hope dies. As someone looks through the eyes of the devil, they see his utopia. Only visible by the dim light of the moon
was the great wall. Beyond the wall? No one knew. Stretching away from the wall was a humongous bridge that towered the wall. Standing tall on the
bridge was a tower, which had two circles that almost looked like eyes. Those mysterious, creepy and dangerous looking eyes stared down at the city
giving away a haunting look.
The reek of death hangs in the air throughout the land. Filling the mouths of those who lived in this abandoned land was the taste of burnt garlic. The
screams and cries of terror undistinguishable between beast and human fill the ears of the last ones living. The sky, which was lit by the glow of fires, is
grey and empty. Decaying bodies and...show more content...
As I walked, the air of this haunted, dreadful and sorrowful land had sucked the life out of everything and roared as humanity began to disappear.
As I carried on walking, I noticed that the small fraction of light was getting smaller and smaller, until it had been engulfed into a think black ash
like smoke. Aggressively, the wind walked past the building with its cruddy feeling, blowing away all signs of life. Deeper and deeper into the
land was a burning car door. The fire roared and crackled. The roaring and crackling of the burning car door merged with the aggressive air and
created the loudest sounds ever heard on land. Growing darker, the skies made me feel nauseous. The fear of not waking up if a human fell asleep

Descriptive Essay About Spring
Spring is such a wonderful and joyful season. The air begins to warm, and the temperature rises slowly. Not only that, but the days seem to be getting
longer as well. As the snow begins to melt in northern America, the lovely flowers begin to bud and the flies begin to come out. The tree buds starts
greening and preparing itself to grow. The air smells different as opposed towinter, it smells fresh and alive. Spring wraps up winter, and leads on to
the hot and humid season called summer. Spring is the season that prepares itself for the next season, as forestry is starting to grow and thrive. The
animal kingdom also uses spring to mate. The bears that were hibernating no longer have to hibernate. The smell of freshly cut grass also goes through
the warm spring air.
The grouchy people of winter also start to become happy again. Most people dislike winter as it cold and the driving condition are not great.
However in spring, everything is having life, or coming back to life; as well as their spirits. Spring is finally the time where people can finally eat
outside, open up the window to let fresh air in. Nothing is better than seeing the neon green trees and grass shining through the low amounts of snow
that might still be left behind by Mother Nature. The farming trade also begins in spring; the farmers begin to plant their vegetables so they can
harvest them when the time is right. Spring also has a very nice holiday, Easter. Families gather at each other's houses and

We all know college is hard; if it were easy, everyone would have a degree and no one would ever ask for help. But here at Crafton Hills College,
tutors are available to help out students in any way, so that those who struggle can do well and be successful. These mentors don't just lecture, they
take the time to make sure students understand and comprehend what is being taught. Tutors are at hand for a variety of subjects, some have
appointments for one on one time and others are for use at one's convenience. The best part is, students don't have to search for a tutor, or post flyers
saying "HELP NEEDED." CHC has a Tutoring Center, completely free, which is easy to find and a...show more content...
Besides the Tutoring Center, the library is also very resourceful and entirely useful. It's filled with computers, private rooms, a small auditorium, a
copy room and thousands of books (which are found on the top floor of the LRC). Writing tutors will encourage students to visit the library,
especially when it comes to research papers. Now, continuing on to the Tutoring Center, a few more steps and you have reached a set of stairs
that lead downward. Down these twenty or so steps is the Tutoring Center. After reaching the bottom, there is a small doorway to the left and a
sign that says "Welcome to the Tutoring Center!", as a confirmation that one is indeed in the right place. The Tutoring Center is a large rectangle
shaped room, with small separate glass enclosed rooms around the edges. The rooms on the left and right are offices of some professors an
instructors, while the back wall has some small rooms for study groups and private tutoring lessons, with one very large room painted bright yellow.
A front desk is located to the immediate right once entered. Here is where anyone can receive information about the Tutoring Center and view
waiting lists for certain subject tutors; flyers and booklets are also free to take. The center of the room has two long tables with twenty computers on
both sides for student use, and on each side of those tables are four small square tables with four chairs each for groups or alone work. These

evening throwing dirty looks at the boys, none of whom seem to care. Spinning faster and faster, the waltzer's occupants scream hysterically. "The
louder you scream, the faster we go," an impersonal voice claims on the intercom. As the ride explodes with noise, the operator yawns and throws
a lever. Outside his soundproof hut the ride accelerates, then, climax over, it slows and stops. The controller stumbles out of the box and lets the

cars that have been coming and going all day. His face reddens as the wheels spin, spraying mud on to a shiny red Ferrari that someone was
unsuspecting enough to bring. People are pointing and laughing and the owner of the Ferrari is shouting. Finally, someone is helpful enough to push
him on his way and he leaves at top speed, without even bothering to say thank you. On the rollercoaster, a young girl screams, while her older
brother looks almost ready to fall asleep. Her best friend in the seat behind is looking slightly green and is very much ready to go home. The little girl

Descriptive Essay About My Favorite Place
As a child, people will always remember certain destinations that stick with them that made a good impression. I have a place that not only made a
good impression, it changed me. It made me think off all the things in life people take for granted; places, people, activates. This place brought all
though special things in life to one place where I can enjoy them all at the same time. The Oregon coast. Traveling there, as a kid was always special.
Waking up early in the morning and driving the long trip there, going through forests, valleys, and cities. The Oregon coast is such a broad place to

Its cold, windy, and sunny all at the same time. The beach stretches for miles seeming endless, until it reaches a tall cliff with waves crashing against
it. The sun shines down on the moisture in the air creating a "sparkling" affect to add to the view. In some spots on the coast giant rock formations
stick out of the water, creating a question on how they formed there. Sea creatures dot the sand everywhere. Walking the beach with sand between your
toes is and not a worry in your mind is one of the best feelings. If you time it right early in the mornings and late in the night low tide takes place and
you can find sand dollars and unique shells. Beautiful houses and hotels line the beach all with the same withered look they all strive to have, and
balconies on every place to capture the view. This destination is such an important place to Oregonians because its such a magical place. It transports
you into a different dimension where there are no other places like it. You cannot be one the beach without a smile on your face, it's near impossible
to be in a gloomy mood when there. Mainly magical because you can escape there with family and friends with many opportunities to try to
experience new or traditional things. Like having a fire on a beach roasting s'mores with family and friends, or trying weird sea creature at a
restaurant. The Oregon Coast will always hold a spot near to my heart. I can't wait for

Descriptive Essay : ' The Ghost ' Essay
Just then, I noticed a ghost in the distance who was simply staring blankly at the landscape. As I came alongside, the ghost was simply staring at the
Spirit; I received the impression that the conversation would soon begin again. Continuing to stare at the spirit, the ghost spoke, "See now, Elphias, this
is simply the same discussion we started back in high school. There is nothing new about it and you always thought that there were black and whites.
You still haven't changed your mind I see." The spirit smiled and replied, "Yes, it is the same discussion, but I am happy, if you join me, you too can
receive this happiness. All that you have to see is that there are absolutes." "But there are no absolutes. We've been over this before. What is good
and true for you may not be good and true for me. Your rigidness has not lessened with time. You always failed to embrace the gray; that whole idea
of black and white was simply wishful thinking." "Was it truly wishful thinking though? Where you came from, is that not the black and am I not
white with the Glory?" The ghost gave a disbelieving chuckle and attempted as best he could a patronizing smile. "It may appear black and white to
you because of what you believe, but as for me, I can hardly stand to look at you. How do I know it you are really white?" Where did you just come
from? Is not perpetually twilight and rainy? What emotions arise in you in that place?" "Different emotions for different people. No doubt some

In fact, nature appears in its best form. It provides us with all kinds of pleasure.
Other things that I also love about spring are those smells that are widespread in nature. The air is fresh and full of pleasant aromas of different

for nature.
I will now say I am absolutely calm when I am listening, feeling, smelling, and looking at the spring around me. Spring is my favourite season, and
nature when it is spring is relaxing and comfortable. The earth wears a green dress. Again it comes to life.

Descriptive Essay On A Trip
The art studies–at–large trip has been a once in a lifetime trip. From a twenty–four hour plane trip with a stop in Chicago and time zone change, it has
been an exhausting yet enjoyable time running around with my classmates in the airport. Being in a different country and experiencing a new culture
first hand was astonishing and gave me a new outlook of the beauties in the world. From Montone, Florence, Venice, andRome I had the ultimate trip in
Italy. The food, language, and culture were different from what I was used to but it was worth the experience. I was not fond of drinking wine
with every dinner though the wine was delicious. I had the best pastas, tiramisus, and coffees while I was in Italy. The art was beautiful; it was
breathtaking to see how many free artworks was there for the public. After being in Italy for about a month I can see why people are attracted and
want to live in Italy. Montone is a beautiful, peaceful, and friendly town. I enjoyed the walk to town, the covenant, Aries CafГ©, the tavern
restaurant, and the town's people. I had the best cappuccino and coffee at Aries and I loved every dish I ate at the tavern restaurant. The view from
the covenant was beautiful and works perfectly for a painting. Getting around town was easy with everyone being so nice and helpful. The piazza was
a great place to hang out because of friendly the environment was and it was the main spot in town where everyone stayed. Getting a chance to draw

Descriptive Essay About Animals
JADE My entire life I've always held a special place in my heart for animals. There's just something about them that makes my usual cold stone
exterior melt. Through the course of my life I've owned several different kinds of pets, majority of which were given away. After owning all these
animals I can say without a doubt I am definitively a cat person. Each time I've lost an animal it hurt considerably but none of which hurt as much as
when I had to give up my cat Jade. Adopting Jade was a very pivotal point in my life. I had been begging for a pet for months, I'm talking on my
knees pleading with tears in my eyes. I was looking for something to fill the domestic animal sized void in my heart that was made when they gave
my dog Pierce away because he was "too high maintenance". I was also just thinking about how great it had been owning our first cat Boots who
they gave away because he wasn't very nice to any member of our family but me. Finally I wore my aunt down enough to where she agreed to take
me to the animal shelter to "look and see". I had never been in an animal shelter before so I had no idea what to expect when we arrived. It was a
reasonably sized building, kind of reminding of a daycare center for little kids. Literally every dog in the building started barking when we walked in
and honestly it broke my heart that so many of them were without homes. One of the people who worked there showed us to the first room on our

Crowds of people began to funnel in to this one location on the beach. I imagined that an animal had washed up on the shore and could not get back

Upon reaching the scene, I became aware of what happened. I stared down at a little girl who was lying face up and was unresponsive to family
members calling her name. It was evident that she had drowned and was on the edge of death. Life guards began to pound on her chest and start
chest compulsions. She continued to stay motionless. Quickly, lifeguards began the operations of CPR. These long and tiring procedures made the
lifeguards physically tired. The rest of the family bickered back and forth on whose fault this was. "Why couldn't you just watch her and do what you
were told?" I heard behind me. The father screamed, "It was not my responsibility to do that, it was yours!" The clear frustration began to build and
caused more confusion.
The lifeguards circling around the little girl seemed frightened. Leaning closer to hear the rumors being spread throughout the crowd, I unintentionally
noticed the disturbing sound of gargling from the little girl. She had regained consciousness, but could not breathe due to the water trapped in her
lungs. Policemen arrived on the beach and began to push back the imaginary boundaries surrounding the circle of lifeguards. The police advised

Descriptive Essay About A Festival
My excitement was almost palpable as I drove past Lake Okeechobee, watching sunlight bounce reflectively off the massive body of water. My 6
best friends and I were moments away from entering into the majestic festival land. Entering the festival grounds, we where bursting with
excitement and energy, partly because we were sitting still in a cramped car for 2 hours. The car was moving only several inches per minute, but as
the car took covered more territory, so did my eagerness. There were only a couple of feet distancing our car from the next; everyone else was as
enthusiastic as I. I saw smiles and excitement and heard electronic music in the background, all while sitting and waiting in a vehicle. It can to my
realization that this was the first time I was surrounded by a whole spectrum of unique people. Some attendees looked like they had just stepped out of
a Madonna music video, with neon colored clothes and asymmetrical patters; others wore shorts and a tank top. However, there were two similarities
among us: we came to dance to each beat of the music and we all suffered from the humid, swampy, hot weather.
Although my friends and I wanted to park the car and head straight to the festival, we had some housekeeping to do. Three tents and a camp area later,
we were ready to start dancing to the electronic music and enjoying our three day festival weekend. The summer heat was unbearable, as the humidity

Descriptive Essay On A Morning
Mornings just great. Us early birds have the gift of watching the world around us come back to life after being so tired. We all know most people
don't like mornings simply because it interrupts sleep. Yeah, something you can do when you're dead. I turned to the window delighted to see a
bright gray sky; just one giant cloud covering that asshole of a sun so it can't burn my skin and give me cancer. Sure, your idea of a beautiful day
might include blue skies and fairies, but I never asked you. Today was.... Friday. Nothing special going on, so I'd have the regular classes.
I threw on a black t–shirt and skinny jeans that were slung over my crappy desk chair and ran my fingers through my hair to work out any rats while
making my way through a dim hallway to the kitchen. My house is just one big dim hallway with rooms.
"Hey." My mom was already at work in the kitchen as always. She had the same dazed expression on her face as she did every morning as she did her
tedious mom–chores. Every day she had to wash dishes, do laundry, cook food, pick up stuff around the house, etc.
She set down a plate with a small cinnamon roll drenched in white icing out on the table:"Here, eat this before you leave."
"Nah."
"You need to eat something for breakfast, it's not good to skip meals." She nagged.
"Says who?"
"Says me. I read somewhere about it; they did quite a few studies on it."
"Hn, Bye." The screen door slammed shut before my mother could finish her pointless lecture. I wasn't going to be late for school because of a
cinnamon roll.
Most kids get their parents to drive them nowadays, but walking is a perfect opportunity for some alone–time. People can just come find and interrupt
my reveries even in my own home, but when I walk, I'm traveling, and no one's going to try and catch up to me. Just thoughts, music, and burly trees
looming over cracked sidewalks. For the most part, it's a peaceful yet uneventful journey. Other than dogs occasionally carrying on or people leaving
early for work, there are almost no interruptions.

try. My mother is strong–willed and stubborn; when she sets her mind to something almost nothing will stop her and what an impossible feat it is to
change her mind on something. She is very impatient; when she wants something done she wants it done at this very moment, no later. She is
idealistic and she enjoys the simpler things that life has to offer. She loves nature and would love nothing more than to be living in a cabin in the
mountains while listening to country music. She does not pay much attention to news happening outside her local area and prefers to focus on what's
happening in her immediate area. From my mother I have learned how to be the person that I am today. Through her I have learned the importance of
family and that it is paramount to spend time with them while I still have it. Even now I try to spend time with my family when I have the opportunity
to. Form her I have learned compassion for those around me and for animals. Even

Descriptive Essay Example About College Tutoring Center

  • 1. Descriptive Essay About My Village Wherever I am, I find it hard to resist the tempting call of my hometown. My hometown is a small village located in Shandong province. There are about two thousand people in the village. Small as it is, it's a very beautiful place and has its own folk culture. The weather is warm in winter and cool in summer. It's a good place for tourism. The most attractions in the village are the river around my hometown and the green hills opposite the river. On the hills there are largetea plantations and fruit trees. The river, in which there are all kinds of big and smooth cobbles, flows gurgling in four seasons, with groups of fish and shrimps playing in the water. When spring was coming, the fields look like a green carpet, and the willows by the river are putting forth a lot of tender branches. With breeze blowing, the long thin branches gently brush the cool and refreshing water; there are groups of ducks having fun in the river. Spring is also a season of sowing. When the parents are working in the field, the child are playing all kinds of games near the river, such as swing, eagle catches chicken, seesaw and so on. Summer follows spring. The children sit on the large stones in the river, where they pat the water and make splashes. The sound of water, and the noise of the children's chatting and laughing are mixed together. The birds in the woods are unwilling to be lonely, singing and dancing with joy. The old people sat under the big trees talking about their life Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Descriptive Essay About Happiness The wind is ripping at our hair, both of us are panting to get some air into our lungs and throughout our bodies. The strain is almost too much to bear, but we finally make it. We reached the top of the hill and I won against my friend in our bike race through the city. Feeling like I might suffocate and fall off my bike may not seem like something that can make me happy, but if it's with my best friend, anything can make me happy.Happiness to me is being able to have fun and enjoy small and big moments with the people you love. It should come easily without having to put much effort into achieving it. Happiness should not be something I must chase, but it should float onto my lap while I'm sitting with my feet kicked up. The greatest example of being filled with happiness would be the day I rode through the cities with my most beloved friend. This happiness filled drive through the cities started in the car. On a warm June morning, Sabrina picked me up from my house and we set off on the road. I made a special playlist to dance and sing our lungs out the full hour and a half drive up to the twin cities. We had not seen each other for quite some time so this drive was especially important to catch up on our lives and some juicy gossip. This is one of my favorite things to do with Sabrina because even when all we do is sit and do nothing, I find that I enjoy myself to the fullest extent. Sitting there listening to my friend talk about how annoying a classmate is, or how she tried a new food just puts a smile on my face. Singing until we're out of breath and taking the time to listen to all the events in our lives is one of the things I loved to do and I valued all the things we shared with one another. We then began to transition our car ride into a bike ride. Before arriving at Fort Snelling to start biking, we decided to stop by Caribou Coffee for a quick snack. We drove right past Caribou Coffee for two to three miles before we realized the GPS was screaming at us to make a U–turn. Eventually, Sabrina and I got our coffees and sat down to talk about where we'd like to bike. We decided upon following the trails by Fort Snelling toMinnehaha Falls. After downing our drinks, and driving to Fort Snelling, the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Descriptive Essay About Autumn Misty dew covers the entire surface of the field. The yellowing corn stalks stand erect and proud until my grandpas tractor comes to end their growth. Autumn slowly weaves its way in and leaves a stain of brilliant color in its wake. Not everyone enjoys such colors, but when you take a second to step outside your doorstep, and look at all the wonders that surround you, you'd be surprised at how marvelous the world can truly be. To me, Autumn is a time for relishing in the colors. Soaking in the oranges and reds while sitting by a warm fire. It's a time for remembering that everything does end, but it does not have to end in the dreadful way we think it will. Autumn is a time for the closeness of others to keep out the chill of the morning and the starry–eyed darkness of the night. The colors are astonishing. No longer does green dwell the trees. It seems the entire world is on fire. The bright yellow has mingled with the orange to create small flames, flickering from the branches of trees. They fall to the ground and ignite the earth. It has been said before that fire is pure and cleans everything it touches. It takes something broken and dead and gives it one last spurt of beauty. One last goodbye before it leaves forever. The bed of the fire is a deep blue, so searing it burns any who come near. The heat makes my eyes water and stings my uncovered face. I want to get as close as possible. To see the embers be swept with the glorious reds and royal blues. The heat is Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Descriptive Essay On Dystopia Dystopian Setting The city that once had homed thousands and been the most economically successful country ever, was now a contaminated wasteland. The land looked dry, destroyed and lonely. The morning breeze felt like crying sorrows, and the grey deceitful sky awed down at us. In the deepest corner of despair lies dystopia where hope dies. As someone looks through the eyes of the devil, they see his utopia. Only visible by the dim light of the moon was the great wall. Beyond the wall? No one knew. Stretching away from the wall was a humongous bridge that towered the wall. Standing tall on the bridge was a tower, which had two circles that almost looked like eyes. Those mysterious, creepy and dangerous looking eyes stared down at the city giving away a haunting look. The reek of death hangs in the air throughout the land. Filling the mouths of those who lived in this abandoned land was the taste of burnt garlic. The screams and cries of terror undistinguishable between beast and human fill the ears of the last ones living. The sky, which was lit by the glow of fires, is grey and empty. Decaying bodies and...show more content... As I walked, the air of this haunted, dreadful and sorrowful land had sucked the life out of everything and roared as humanity began to disappear. As I carried on walking, I noticed that the small fraction of light was getting smaller and smaller, until it had been engulfed into a think black ash like smoke. Aggressively, the wind walked past the building with its cruddy feeling, blowing away all signs of life. Deeper and deeper into the land was a burning car door. The fire roared and crackled. The roaring and crackling of the burning car door merged with the aggressive air and created the loudest sounds ever heard on land. Growing darker, the skies made me feel nauseous. The fear of not waking up if a human fell asleep towered Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Descriptive Essay About Spring Spring is such a wonderful and joyful season. The air begins to warm, and the temperature rises slowly. Not only that, but the days seem to be getting longer as well. As the snow begins to melt in northern America, the lovely flowers begin to bud and the flies begin to come out. The tree buds starts greening and preparing itself to grow. The air smells different as opposed towinter, it smells fresh and alive. Spring wraps up winter, and leads on to the hot and humid season called summer. Spring is the season that prepares itself for the next season, as forestry is starting to grow and thrive. The animal kingdom also uses spring to mate. The bears that were hibernating no longer have to hibernate. The smell of freshly cut grass also goes through the warm spring air. The grouchy people of winter also start to become happy again. Most people dislike winter as it cold and the driving condition are not great. However in spring, everything is having life, or coming back to life; as well as their spirits. Spring is finally the time where people can finally eat outside, open up the window to let fresh air in. Nothing is better than seeing the neon green trees and grass shining through the low amounts of snow that might still be left behind by Mother Nature. The farming trade also begins in spring; the farmers begin to plant their vegetables so they can harvest them when the time is right. Spring also has a very nice holiday, Easter. Families gather at each other's houses and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Descriptive Essay Example Descriptive Essay Example We all know college is hard; if it were easy, everyone would have a degree and no one would ever ask for help. But here at Crafton Hills College, tutors are available to help out students in any way, so that those who struggle can do well and be successful. These mentors don't just lecture, they take the time to make sure students understand and comprehend what is being taught. Tutors are at hand for a variety of subjects, some have appointments for one on one time and others are for use at one's convenience. The best part is, students don't have to search for a tutor, or post flyers saying "HELP NEEDED." CHC has a Tutoring Center, completely free, which is easy to find and a...show more content... Besides the Tutoring Center, the library is also very resourceful and entirely useful. It's filled with computers, private rooms, a small auditorium, a copy room and thousands of books (which are found on the top floor of the LRC). Writing tutors will encourage students to visit the library, especially when it comes to research papers. Now, continuing on to the Tutoring Center, a few more steps and you have reached a set of stairs that lead downward. Down these twenty or so steps is the Tutoring Center. After reaching the bottom, there is a small doorway to the left and a sign that says "Welcome to the Tutoring Center!", as a confirmation that one is indeed in the right place. The Tutoring Center is a large rectangle shaped room, with small separate glass enclosed rooms around the edges. The rooms on the left and right are offices of some professors an instructors, while the back wall has some small rooms for study groups and private tutoring lessons, with one very large room painted bright yellow. A front desk is located to the immediate right once entered. Here is where anyone can receive information about the Tutoring Center and view waiting lists for certain subject tutors; flyers and booklets are also free to take. The center of the room has two long tables with twenty computers on both sides for student use, and on each side of those tables are four small square tables with four chairs each for groups or alone work. "I can't believe you," she cries, hurls her last insult, and storms away, quickly followed by a small group of girls. They spend the rest of the evening throwing dirty looks at the boys, none of whom seem to care. Spinning faster and faster, the waltzer's occupants scream hysterically. "The louder you scream, the faster we go," an impersonal voice claims on the intercom. As the ride explodes with noise, the operator yawns and throws a lever. Outside his soundproof hut the ride accelerates, then, climax over, it slows and stops. The controller stumbles out of the box and lets the flushed people off of the ride. Some go straight to the back of the queue, others teeter off, stumbling over their own feet. Gritting his teeth, a man in the car park presses the accelerator to the floor, but to no avail. The grass is unrecognisable under all of the mud that has been churned up by the cars that have been coming and going all day. His face reddens as the wheels spin, spraying mud on to a shiny red Ferrari that someone was unsuspecting enough to bring. People are pointing and laughing and the owner of the Ferrari is shouting. Finally, someone is helpful enough to push him on his way and he leaves at top speed, without even bothering to say thank you. On the rollercoaster, a young girl screams, while her older brother looks almost ready to fall asleep. Her best friend in the seat behind is looking slightly green and is very much ready to go home. The little girl whoops even louder Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Descriptive Essay About My Favorite Place As a child, people will always remember certain destinations that stick with them that made a good impression. I have a place that not only made a good impression, it changed me. It made me think off all the things in life people take for granted; places, people, activates. This place brought all though special things in life to one place where I can enjoy them all at the same time. The Oregon coast. Traveling there, as a kid was always special. Waking up early in the morning and driving the long trip there, going through forests, valleys, and cities. The Oregon coast is such a broad place to describe, but in reality, all the towns have the same feel but different atmosphere. Pacific City is small and quiet with a great...show more content... Its cold, windy, and sunny all at the same time. The beach stretches for miles seeming endless, until it reaches a tall cliff with waves crashing against it. The sun shines down on the moisture in the air creating a "sparkling" affect to add to the view. In some spots on the coast giant rock formations stick out of the water, creating a question on how they formed there. Sea creatures dot the sand everywhere. Walking the beach with sand between your toes is and not a worry in your mind is one of the best feelings. If you time it right early in the mornings and late in the night low tide takes place and you can find sand dollars and unique shells. Beautiful houses and hotels line the beach all with the same withered look they all strive to have, and balconies on every place to capture the view. This destination is such an important place to Oregonians because its such a magical place. It transports you into a different dimension where there are no other places like it. You cannot be one the beach without a smile on your face, it's near impossible to be in a gloomy mood when there. Mainly magical because you can escape there with family and friends with many opportunities to try to experience new or traditional things. Like having a fire on a beach roasting s'mores with family and friends, or trying weird sea creature at a restaurant. The Oregon Coast will always hold a spot near to my heart. On one side there is room for two closets with long mirrors that are used as doors. In the midde of the room sits a black flimsy square card table, covered with a stack of dirty plates and a binder. The walls and ceiling are white and the floor is carpeted, with a matrix of various grey rectangles. There is a central lamp in the middle of the ceiling that illuminates the room and the blinds keep the rest of the light out. My dorm room is my home away from home. The room represents the collection of all the objects I thought important enough to bring with me to college so in a way it is me. Having to limit myself to only taking a certain amount of things from my home forces me to distill my priorities and interests. I have to figure out what my favorite shirts are, my favorite books, what decorations look the best, what color I want my sheets to be. In a way, I am choosing the traits that I want to bring with myself to college. My room is the combination of my chosen traits, building into my college identity. • 10. Descriptive Essay : ' The Ghost ' Essay Just then, I noticed a ghost in the distance who was simply staring blankly at the landscape. As I came alongside, the ghost was simply staring at the Spirit; I received the impression that the conversation would soon begin again. Continuing to stare at the spirit, the ghost spoke, "See now, Elphias, this is simply the same discussion we started back in high school. There is nothing new about it and you always thought that there were black and whites. You still haven't changed your mind I see." The spirit smiled and replied, "Yes, it is the same discussion, but I am happy, if you join me, you too can receive this happiness. All that you have to see is that there are absolutes." "But there are no absolutes. We've been over this before. What is good and true for you may not be good and true for me. Your rigidness has not lessened with time. You always failed to embrace the gray; that whole idea of black and white was simply wishful thinking." "Was it truly wishful thinking though? Where you came from, is that not the black and am I not white with the Glory?" The ghost gave a disbelieving chuckle and attempted as best he could a patronizing smile. "It may appear black and white to you because of what you believe, but as for me, I can hardly stand to look at you. How do I know it you are really white?" Where did you just come from? Is not perpetually twilight and rainy? What emotions arise in you in that place?" "Different emotions for different people. No doubt some Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 13. Descriptive Essay On A Trip The art studies–at–large trip has been a once in a lifetime trip. From a twenty–four hour plane trip with a stop in Chicago and time zone change, it has been an exhausting yet enjoyable time running around with my classmates in the airport. Being in a different country and experiencing a new culture first hand was astonishing and gave me a new outlook of the beauties in the world. From Montone, Florence, Venice, andRome I had the ultimate trip in Italy. The food, language, and culture were different from what I was used to but it was worth the experience. I was not fond of drinking wine with every dinner though the wine was delicious. I had the best pastas, tiramisus, and coffees while I was in Italy. The art was beautiful; it was breathtaking to see how many free artworks was there for the public. After being in Italy for about a month I can see why people are attracted and want to live in Italy. Montone is a beautiful, peaceful, and friendly town. I enjoyed the walk to town, the covenant, Aries CafГ©, the tavern restaurant, and the town's people. I had the best cappuccino and coffee at Aries and I loved every dish I ate at the tavern restaurant. The view from the covenant was beautiful and works perfectly for a painting. Getting around town was easy with everyone being so nice and helpful. The piazza was a great place to hang out because of friendly the environment was and it was the main spot in town where everyone stayed. • 15. Descriptive Essay About Animals JADE My entire life I've always held a special place in my heart for animals. There's just something about them that makes my usual cold stone exterior melt. Through the course of my life I've owned several different kinds of pets, majority of which were given away. After owning all these animals I can say without a doubt I am definitively a cat person. Each time I've lost an animal it hurt considerably but none of which hurt as much as when I had to give up my cat Jade. Adopting Jade was a very pivotal point in my life. I had been begging for a pet for months, I'm talking on my knees pleading with tears in my eyes. I was looking for something to fill the domestic animal sized void in my heart that was made when they gave my dog Pierce away because he was "too high maintenance". I was also just thinking about how great it had been owning our first cat Boots who they gave away because he wasn't very nice to any member of our family but me. Finally I wore my aunt down enough to where she agreed to take me to the animal shelter to "look and see". I had never been in an animal shelter before so I had no idea what to expect when we arrived. It was a reasonably sized building, kind of reminding of a daycare center for little kids. Literally every dog in the building started barking when we walked in and honestly it broke my heart that so many of them were without homes. One of the people who worked there showed us to the first room on our right, one of the rooms Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. Descriptive Essay About Vacation Max Mudger Mrs. Oncu DE 11 30 October 2017 Narrative Essay The air was filled with salt and warm sunlight. The waves were crashing against the Hawaiian sand causing a beautiful and relaxing sound. With flapping wings and squawking noises, seagulls were stalking tourists in the search of food. The soft, hot sand was soothing to the touch. The palm trees danced in the swaying wind and the aroma of distant barbecues and sunscreen wafted in the air. As a native Floridian, the thought of a Hawaiian vacation was appealing. Hours of waiting began to accumulate when I was informed that my flight to Hawaii had been rescheduled. My frustration built as I sat and anticipated the start to my vacation. After the airplane trip to the islands, I...show more content... Crowds of people began to funnel in to this one location on the beach. I imagined that an animal had washed up on the shore and could not get back into the water. My curiosity grew, and I left my chair to follow the path of everyone else down the shoreline. Upon reaching the scene, I became aware of what happened. I stared down at a little girl who was lying face up and was unresponsive to family members calling her name. It was evident that she had drowned and was on the edge of death. Life guards began to pound on her chest and start chest compulsions. She continued to stay motionless. Quickly, lifeguards began the operations of CPR. These long and tiring procedures made the lifeguards physically tired. The rest of the family bickered back and forth on whose fault this was. "Why couldn't you just watch her and do what you were told?" I heard behind me. The father screamed, "It was not my responsibility to do that, it was yours!" The clear frustration began to build and caused more confusion. The lifeguards circling around the little girl seemed frightened. Leaning closer to hear the rumors being spread throughout the crowd, I unintentionally noticed the disturbing sound of gargling from the little girl. She had regained consciousness, but could not breathe due to the water trapped in her lungs. Policemen arrived on the beach and began to push back the imaginary boundaries surrounding the circle of lifeguards. The police advised everyone to leave the beach Get more content on HelpWriting.net

For example, in school when we work in group projects we collaborate and communicate with people who think differently than us then work together to figure out whose ideas will work the best and how to improve them. Another factor that plays a part in why I am shaped how I am is my family's economic circumstances. I have always had access to anything I needed and for that I have extreme gratitude because I know some people have a lot of difficulty in life. Since I was born into a family with such good economic circumstances I have been lucky to have lots of opportunities. One Opportunity I had as a child was participating in taekwondo. I did taekwondo until I reached a blackbelt which took years of hardwork and dedication. I had to memorize forms, Spar with other competitors and break boards in order to continue to move up to the next level. Taekwondo also helped keep me in good shape and fit when I was younger. Another Opportunity I am grateful for is the skill of playing the piano. • 18. Descriptive Essay About A Festival My excitement was almost palpable as I drove past Lake Okeechobee, watching sunlight bounce reflectively off the massive body of water. My 6 best friends and I were moments away from entering into the majestic festival land. Entering the festival grounds, we where bursting with excitement and energy, partly because we were sitting still in a cramped car for 2 hours. The car was moving only several inches per minute, but as the car took covered more territory, so did my eagerness. There were only a couple of feet distancing our car from the next; everyone else was as enthusiastic as I. I saw smiles and excitement and heard electronic music in the background, all while sitting and waiting in a vehicle. It can to my realization that this was the first time I was surrounded by a whole spectrum of unique people. Some attendees looked like they had just stepped out of a Madonna music video, with neon colored clothes and asymmetrical patters; others wore shorts and a tank top. However, there were two similarities among us: we came to dance to each beat of the music and we all suffered from the humid, swampy, hot weather. Although my friends and I wanted to park the car and head straight to the festival, we had some housekeeping to do. Three tents and a camp area later, we were ready to start dancing to the electronic music and enjoying our three day festival weekend. The summer heat was unbearable, as the humidity engulfed the air and the sunrays kept reluctantly burning our Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Descriptive Essay On A Morning Mornings just great. Us early birds have the gift of watching the world around us come back to life after being so tired. We all know most people don't like mornings simply because it interrupts sleep. Yeah, something you can do when you're dead. I turned to the window delighted to see a bright gray sky; just one giant cloud covering that asshole of a sun so it can't burn my skin and give me cancer. Sure, your idea of a beautiful day might include blue skies and fairies, but I never asked you. Today was.... Friday. Nothing special going on, so I'd have the regular classes. I threw on a black t–shirt and skinny jeans that were slung over my crappy desk chair and ran my fingers through my hair to work out any rats while making my way through a dim hallway to the kitchen. My house is just one big dim hallway with rooms. "Hey." My mom was already at work in the kitchen as always. She had the same dazed expression on her face as she did every morning as she did her tedious mom–chores. Every day she had to wash dishes, do laundry, cook food, pick up stuff around the house, etc. She set down a plate with a small cinnamon roll drenched in white icing out on the table:"Here, eat this before you leave." "Nah." "You need to eat something for breakfast, it's not good to skip meals." She nagged. "Says who?" "Says me. I read somewhere about it; they did quite a few studies on it." "Hn, Bye." The screen door slammed shut before my mother could finish her pointless lecture. I wasn't going to be late for school because of a cinnamon roll. Most kids get their parents to drive them nowadays, but walking is a perfect opportunity for some alone–time. People can just come find and interrupt my reveries even in my own home, but when I walk, I'm traveling, and no one's going to try and catch up to me. Just thoughts, music, and burly trees looming over cracked sidewalks. For the most part, it's a peaceful yet uneventful journey. Other than dogs occasionally carrying on or people leaving early for work, there are almost no interruptions. Chg–chg–chg–chg. I grinned at the sound of a train beginning to rumble across rickety, old railroad tracks. Somehow, I couldn't help but smile during moments like these. • 20. Descriptive Essay About My Mother No matter how hard life gets for me and how chaotic things can become there has always been one person that I can turn to, my mom. She's been a wealth of advice to call on when I'm clueless and a shoulder to cry on when I'm down. Her compassion for others inspires me to be a better person as does the guidance she has given me over the years. She's not afraid to give me a reality check and to tell me the things I don't want to hear even though I need to. She keeps me grounded and teaches me to appreciate the smaller things in life. My mom also does not go soft on her kids; she can be a formidable disciplinarian when she wants to and will not hesitate to set us straight when we broke the rules. She won't let anybody walk over her and is really quick to anger if you try. My mother is strong–willed and stubborn; when she sets her mind to something almost nothing will stop her and what an impossible feat it is to change her mind on something. She is very impatient; when she wants something done she wants it done at this very moment, no later. She is idealistic and she enjoys the simpler things that life has to offer. She loves nature and would love nothing more than to be living in a cabin in the mountains while listening to country music. She does not pay much attention to news happening outside her local area and prefers to focus on what's happening in her immediate area. From my mother I have learned how to be the person that I am today. Through her I have learned the importance of family and that it is paramount to spend time with them while I still have it. Even now I try to spend time with my family when I have the opportunity to. Form her I have learned compassion for those around me and for animals. Even Get more content on HelpWriting.net
