11. WHAT IS POWER LIFTGATE
A power tailgate system is a device that aids the opening and
closing a car’s tailgate or boot lid automatically. The tailgate
can be opened and closed by pressing a button in the
dashboard, using a remote controller, or through gestures,
which are tracked by sensors placed beneath the rear bumper.
The system consists of mechatronic components that are
enclosed in a power assembly comprising electric latches,
component carriers, and closures for opening and closing of
the tailgate.

18. 1. Large friction, large vibration, high loss, loud noise.
Need to use carbon brush to connect power supply. The carbon brush
continuously rubs against rotating shaft which will cause continuous
loss. After times rotations, motor will not be energized. During
switching is working of a large current and generate a carbon deposit
of commutator. So that motor is short-circuited and pole cannot work.
Brush motor commonly uses oil-containing bearings which is low
noise at begins due to grease lubrication. However noise is rapidly
exposed as grease increasingly drained. Serious noise pollution
happens after a short time using.
2.Heating, low efficiency, small output power, short life.
Due to structure, connect resistance between brush and commutator
is large. That causes large motor resistance and heat. Also cause small
output power and low efficiency. The permanent magnet is a thermal
element. If temperature too high, magnetic steel will demagnetize &
motor performance be degraded. Then tailgate cannot be switched.
Service life of brush motor is within 1000 hours. Brush motor is hard
to adjust due to 2 hall only. Speed of two pole is different when
control the switch. Long time use may cause deformation.
3.Low sensitivity
The detection method of external single hall cannot accurately assist
the control system to command the motor speed flexibly and
precisely. And the hall plate of brush motor has to be exposed to the
air. That will cause the reaction sensitivity of the control system
gradually decrease with time and environment.

assembly structure, there's no carbon brush wear. Rotating life
reaches more than 100,000 times which is more than 10 times of
brush motor. As long as ball bearing is not broken, the brushless

0.04mA due to small operating current and low heat. It has great

WORKING DESCRIPTION

ECU will firstly unlocks the tailgate lock by electronic control. When the unlocking signal appears and confirms, electric drive
pole will execute gate-opening action. During its execution, collect position and anti-pinch module signal. The electric drive
pole action immediately stops when appears anti-pinch signal. The system enters standby state again. The gate-opening
finishes when action in place, the system enters into standby state.

Gate-closing process
Electric drive pole executes gate-closing action and
continuously collect position and anti-pinch signal
during execution process. It immediately stops the
pole action when appears anti-pinch signal. And
drive electric pole back to the opening position.
The system enters into standby state. After position
signal completing, detect tailgate lock signal and
drive it to self-prime motor to interlock action. Lock
the back door firmly and detect the locking signal
in place or not. Under signal-qualified conditions,
stop self-locking action and finish closing action of
back door.
