Architectural Design at university has afforded me the ability to
participate in team work on group assignment tasks, with
considerable improvement.
Teamwork
Being an architect requires ample ability to solve complex issues
ranging from small issues to more complex one in materiality. My
time at university has helped me to follow a proper process that
involves diagnosis before reaching a solution.

with online capabilities to help share ideas.
Self-Management
Aside from my natural sketching talent, I enjoy working with
numbers in terms of measuring tools as well, and reasonable
mathematical skills to help solve
Numeracy
2. Reflection of Uni and TAFE Studies
This portfolio covers an extensive list of projects that have been compiled as part of the timeline of architectural studies through
the Diploma of Building Design as well as the Bachelor of Architecture, with projects ranging from the small Granny flat right
through to the intriguing modern interpretation of New York’s High Line of a new Visitors Centre at the Gold Coast Regional
Botanic Gardens. The most specialty interest in my perspective is the ideas and philosophies behind affordable social housing.
The most recent architectural project required a Master Planredevelopment of the Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens with a
fully-fledged Visitors and Information Centre that is on a regional level and to further attraction of the tourism market. It was also to
be implemented in a mannerit would factor in the local urban resilience achieved by a particular response to the flooding occurences
given the proximity location beside the comprehensive river network. My approach to the context of resilience brings in inspiration from
New York with a contemporary interpretation of the High Line with a continuous green roof that responds to the contours of the landscape,
serves multiple functions, as roofing for the eastern Car park and juxtapose with the middle of the park that can be accessed from every
corner of Benowa, including local schools, residental roads and a major sporting hub.
The context of resilience extends to the southern most area which is flood prone, where a large area is excavated and levelled to enhance
the family and user-friendliness, which is also something I also find astonishing, to achieve a city life that much of the Gold Coast that has
always, and continue to dream of.
