My past work experience has always been jobs that work closely with people,
therefore I have developed communication skills that allow me to communicate with
people in a clear and precise manner. I have also had to communicate with people
from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures, which in turn helped me gain a
strong ability to deal with any issues or concerns in a friendly, polite and professional
manner.
Working in a team:
Previously I have always worked closely with other staff members as part of a team
to achieve a common goal and as a result I feel that my collaboration skills have been
fine-tuned. Colleagues have always referred me as a team player. During my previous
placements I have also worked as part of a team or collaborated with fellow
students/teachers in planning and teaching on a regular basis.
Creativity:
During my Undergraduate Degree I studied literature which has sparked a passion for
creativity. I now pride myself in taking very creative approach to teaching and
learning.. These studies involved topics such as Romantic literature, Modernity and
Media from a German perspective. This has developed my understanding of creative
texts and images. Throughout my previous professional endevours I also create food
and beverage menus.
Information Communication and Technology (ICT)
Throughout my studies at university and within my teaching placements I have
encouraged a strong use of ICT and multi-literacies within the classroom to help
engage learners in interesting and meaningful ways. I have experience with
