2. HAPPY LIFE
• Living organisms are individually different in the
psychologically,socially, biologically , emotionally, physically,
genetically. The idea of a happy life, however, differs from
person to person. The five essentials are
• health,
• money
• relationships
• contentment at work and
• self acceptance form are the basis for creating happiness
for human beings.
3. GOOD HEALTH & WELL BEING FOR PEOPLE:
A special reference to India on COVID-19
UN set the The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) were
eight International development goals for the year 2015 that had been
established following the Millennium Summit of the United Nations in
2000, following the adoption of the United Nations Millennium
Declaration.
• All 191 United Nations member states , and 22 international organizations,
committed to help to achieve the followings:
Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by 2015:
1. To eradicate extreme poverty and hunger
2. To achieve universal primary education
3. To promote gender equality and empower women
4. To reduce child mortality
5. To improve maternal health
6. To combat HIV/AIDS, malaria, and other diseases
7. To ensure environmental sustainability.
8. To develop a global partnership for development.
The major demerit is MDG uniquely focuses on donor achievements, rather
than development successes & it is the main hindrance not achieve the goals
successfully.
5. What is Sustainable Development?
• SD is the development that meets the needs of
the present, without compromising the ability
of future generations to meet their own needs.
• The focus of sustainable development goes
beyond just the environment. It also about
ensuring a strong, healthy and equal Society.

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or
Global goal for Sustainable Development set by
United Nations General assembly, resolution
70/1 as Transforming Our world : The 2030
Agenda for SD in 2015 for the year 2030 with the
collection of 17 goals and 169 targets and
designed a "blueprint to achieve a better and more
sustainable future for all".

9. NITI AAYOG INDEX
The SDG INDIA Index 2019-20,developed by Niti Aayog was launched on 30th
Dec.2019.
• The Index has been constructed spanning across 13 out of 17 SDGs with a
qualitative assessment on SDG 17.It tracks the progress of all the States & UTs
on a set of 100 National Indicators derived from the National Indicator
framework.
• SDG India Index – has been developed in collaboration with MoSPI, UN in
India and global Green Growth Institute.
• A Composite score was computed in the range of 0-100 for each State / UTs
based on its aggregate performance .
• Classification criteria based on SDG India Index are
1. Aspirants : 0-49
2. Performer : 50-64
3. Front Runner : 65-99
4. Achiever : 100
• Kerala top SDG Index and Bihar at last rank.
• Next to Kerala are Himachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh,
Tamil nadu, Telengena, Karnatak, Goa, Sikkim, Gujrat,Maharashtra
etc.
10. • Virus is acellular , obligate parasite, host specific, biologist puzzle, placed in
between non living and living organisms, made up with protein and genetic
material DNA or RNA.
• As per genetic material it may be RNA virus or DNA virus.
• Nitrogenous bases in RNA are A G C and U ,similarly in DNA are A G C and T.
• Retro viruses having RNA as genetic material and are cancer causing and it is
dangerous that you know .On present situation This type of RNA virus can act as
Bioweapon as per different news.
• Only RNA part of this Virus enters to human cell and undergoes multiplication for
the two weeks of incubation period. This viral RNA produce cDNA(complimentary
DNA) by reverse transcription or can directly act as messenger RNA. This DNA
produce toxic protein in cell, causes no.of symptoms to problems in breathing /
CARDIO VASCULAR THROMBOSIS as per television/ Media news.
• Virus can be destroyed by interferon, vaccine or by self immune systems of the
body but due to immediate mutation of nitrogenous bases of genetic material it is
very difficult to produce vaccine.
11. • They are enveloped viruses with a positive-sense
single-stranded RNA genome and a nucleocapsid
of helical symmetry. The genome size of
coronaviruses ranges from approximately 26 to
32 kilobases, It is the largest for a RNA virus. The
name "coronavirus" is derived from the Ancient
Greek 'κορώνη', meaning crown or halo, which
refers to the characteristic appearance of the
virus particles (virions): they have a fringe
reminiscent of a crown or of a solar corona.
12. Symptoms :
• Common symptoms include fever, cough and shortness of
breath. Muscle pain, sputum production and sore throat are
less common symptoms. While the majority of cases result in
mild symptoms, some progress to pneumonia and multi-organ
failure. The deaths per number of diagnosed cases is
estimated at between 1% and 5% but varies by age and other
health conditions.
• The infection is spread from one person to others via respiratory
droplets, often produced during coughing and sneezing. Time from
exposure to onset of symptoms is generally between 2 to 18 days,
with an average of 7 days. The standard method of diagnosis is by
reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) from a
nasopharyngeal swab or throat swab. The infection can also be
diagnosed from a combination of symptoms, risk factors and a
chest CT scan showing features of pneumonia.
13. : Preventive Measures :
• There is no vaccine or specific antiviral treatment for COVID-19. The
recommended measures to prevent the disease include frequent hand
washing, maintaining distance from other people and not touching one's
face. The use of masks is recommended for those who suspect they have
the virus and their caregivers but not the general public. Development of
self Immunity is the only HOPE till the implementation of vaccine.
• Recommendations are coming for drug use to prevent COVID-
19 but no one is recommended by WHO.
• Problems in India are lack of resource, No interest for R & D,
Always less budgetary provision in Health sector since
Independence, No more infrastructural development to
produce Vaccine , Pharmaceutical products etc etc …. . So it
will be difficult for India to achieve success in
Global Goal no.
14. Why Do We fail in Health Sector?
• Political or economic instability as a result different Mission of Govt.is
failure.
• increasing demand by patients and physicians for expensive medical
technology that is not cost effective
• inability of health care delivery system in reaching the remote corners of
society
• increasing budget deficits
• a growing uninsured population
• increasing pressure to reduce healthcare costs lead to program failure.
• Poverty mitigation, reduction of inequalities (between the haves and have-
nots)
• health care financing, strengthening of public health information system,
health education and communication (to promote preventive self-care and
risk reduction) life style changes are some of the important domains on
which the health of population depends.
• Lacking in Program monitoring and evaluation (M and E) are important
components of a program and are critical to sound strategic planning which
requires complex set of coordinated action. A list of tentative indicators
is required as well as sustainable systems for surveillance has to be
developed, which is not carried out leading to program failure.
15. CONCLUSION
• Important Steps to Improve Healthcare in India
• To Initiate transparency by accreditation of Hospitals and health
care providers. To bring about quality in healthcare, transparency is
imperative.
• To Regulate distribution and sales of drug. ...
• To Improve infrastructure. ...
• To Improve frontline professionals.
• To take care on stress management
• A combination of technical as well as behavior change would lead
to increased availability of necessary health services during
pregnancy, better referral and monitoring system and overall
positive attitude of the community towards availing health services
and improved motivation and responsiveness of service providers
towards the urban poor, and this in turn can lead to success of
health programs to achieve GLOBAL GOAL No: 3 of 2030 Agenda.
