2. These are some of the typography that I have tried to experiments with, I have asked
my teacher and fellow class mates to help me to pick the most appropriate typography
for a Hip-Hop magazine.
From the audience feedback for the typography Maximus BT
that I gather up for a Hip-Hop magazine is that this font would
not be suitable for my magazine because the lines that are
going across the entire font which is “slightly distracting” due
to the colour coordination. However the background matched
the theme of the font because it was easy to distinguish a
white font from a dark background.
The audiences most popular choice was the Tw Cen MT
Consensed Extra Bold as this would be the most appropriate
font to use in my music magazine. Furthermore, the font
portrays masculinity because it is in bold with hard sharped
edges making it easy to catch the reader’s attention thus
drawing certain potential consumers.
3. The audience responds gathered for the IguanaLover BTN font
was that this font was too thin and had I found that it was not
an appropriate choice because the font has soft edges which
implies that it’s a feminine font to choose. This font will be well
suited for a POP magazine and not a Hip-Hop magazine.
The font Heather BTN was used to experiment with the title
was not appropriate choice because this font represents that it
has been drawn by hand and portrays that it is unprofessional
to be used within a Hip-Hop magazine. Also the width of the
font would be difficult to distinguish in a magazine cover due to
being too thin.
