nations and Uzbekistan met in Shanghai to
announce a new organization with deeper
political and economic cooperation.
3. Currently, the SCO countries includes:
9 Member States — the Republic of India,
the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of
Kazakhstan, the People's Republic of China,
the Kyrgyz Republic, the Islamic Republic of
Pakistan, the Russian Federation, the
Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of
Uzbekistan;

Islamic Republic of
Afghanistan, the Republic
of Belarus, Mongolia. In
2022, at the Samarkand
SCO Summit, the process
of raising the status of the
Republic of Belarus within
the Organization to the
level of a member state

Arabia, the Republic of Turkey, the Democratic
Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

States;
