Multiplatform Project Development: worked in a self-managed project team,
researching and developing a concept for multiplatform media project into a detailed
proposal. We incorporated a synthesis of media theory, media production, and
professional practice, exploring the various stages of preparing a media project proposal
for presentation to a potential funder.
Media Industries: had to explore how digital technologies are impacting on the media
industries -analyzing the implications for media and cultural policy, the regulatory
framework, and how media institutions and practitioners are adapting to the various
challenges arising from digital convergence.
Journalism design: have been introduced to the practical aspects of print journalism
production, from developing editorial skills to page layout and basic design
considerations. Worked in a team to create a mock-up magazine, moving from the basic
concept to production using industry-standard software Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
Concurrently had to hone writing, research, editing and sub-editing skills.
Press Theory: tested knowledge of the history and role of press in Australia and ROW.
This included principles, debates, challenges, changing business model, democratic
agency, technological impact, to name but a few.
Online Journalism Production: have been introduced to basic skills in online platform
including developing and editing web publication. Exposed to basics of web design,
including HTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
Journalism Ethics: was givena brief of issues related to privacy, freedom of information,
3. professional liability, conflict of interest, copyright and fair dealing, defamation,
confidentiality and journalist codes of practice.
Journalism Research: have been examined in the ability to conduct versatile research
incorporating different strategies and sources.
Writing genres: examined in the fundamental skills of news-writing and information
gathering for the media, including press releases, daily news stories and feature articles.
This was built upon the tested knowledge of basic theoretical framework of media and
communication.
Interview skills: proven skills in key interview formats, including live discussion,
email, and pre-recorded audio and written profile pieces. Have a broader appreciation
in the art of inquiry and personal interaction and have developed greater confidence in
everything from one on one communications to public speaking to critical analysis.

Being an active member of this movement, I’ve been invariably involved in organizing
meetings, events, managing core teams, helping extensively with fundraising, regular
participation in/and progressive development of Media (audio visual, newsletters, prints)
and Music teams respectively, and have traversed through a myriad of areas that required
planning, forecasting and formulating of vision, mission and human resource. It’s hard to
