I am a current Psychology student, awaiting my final degree classification. I'm a fast and
dedicated learner with a meticulous eye for detail, a professional approach to work with
the ambition of becoming a valued asset to any team. I am able to work effectively using
my own initiative to get tasks done. With my confidence and enthusiasm, I believe that I
have the ability to encourage children to achieve their potential through consistent
stimulation of enthusiasm for learning alongside their determination to succeed.
During my final year of university I carried out a research project within the realms of
Educational Psychology, focusing on personality and personal aspirations within an
academic setting. Through becoming an assistant martial arts instructor within schools
and location across London has further increased my enthusiasm for teaching children. I
am very punctual and have never taken any sick days off to date.
I am looking for a genuine opportunity to make a difference within an ambitious and
progressive school. I believe my experience and knowledge of children from both a
social and psychological perspective has given me an excellent understanding of the
behavioural and mental challenges this exciting job has to offer me and the best way to
deal with these. Furthermore my flexible and positive approach to employment alongside
my willingness to learn makes me an excellent candidate. I can only hope that you will
give me the opportunity to develop my skills and experience within your institution.

Professional Ethics
 Adherence to the BPS Code of Conduct, Ethical Principles
 Awareness of psychology from both five years of study and appropriate volunteering
and work experience carried out.
Commercial Skills

and a means of communication. Equally, working as a success coach within my
university, trying to find effective ways to answer any questions quickly and in the
most effective way.
 Team working skills gained from working in groups to help create teaching plans and
activities during my mental health placement. Teams were used to plan, create and
sometimes deliver lessons to the students.
 Creativity skills- creating an A1 size poster summarising the research I carried out as
part of my final year project, making it creative but equally informative.
 Time management skills- Working to strict deadlines under pressure, for example
producing a poster presentation alongside writing up my final year project.
 Multi-tasking derived from having multiple deadlines in the same week, alongside
working as a success coach and maintaining another part time job.
Consultancy Skills
 Questionnaire design and data analysis experience, throughout my studies with
specific application in my final year research project.
 Communication Skills- both from working in bars and restaurants for over three
years, learning to communicate when there is no common language both abroad and
during my years of working in a diverse setting such as London.

 Presentation skills where developed when creating presentations which I needed to
be detailed enough for readers to understand without no formal explanation as well
as giving a few verbal presentations, where the emphasis was on verbal explanations
in support of the visual presentation.
 Management of projects-
IT Skills
 Competent user of all Microsoft programmes, including but not limited to word, excel
and PowerPoint. Competent user of SPSS Version 22 and Super Lab Version 5.0.
