Pearson’s Square or Pearson’s Rectangle, is a simplified method for solving a two-variable simultaneous equation. It is widely used in standardization calculations for sausage manufacture, jam manufacture, blending alcoholic drinks, calculation of the amounts of feed necessary to meet a nutrient requirement of livestock and anywhere where two components that need to be mixed together to give a final known concentration.
