Dodge QuantisMenden build center
The Dodge Quantis build center program is a self –
contained assembly center capable of building the most
popular Quantis sizes from preassembled modules. The build
center provides a mechanism for providing short lead times
in local markets. With a wide range of C-face gear reducers,
gearmotors and motor assembly capabilities, the Menden
build center location is able to provide and expand the value
proposition to the customer.
Target markets for the Menden Quantis Build Center are:
– MRO opportunities
– Small OEM’s (20-50 units per year)
– Customers that handle other ABB products.
Products not included within the scope of the Build Center
Program can be ordered from Baldor’s Dodge plant in
Belton, South Carolina. Contact your local ABB sales office
for current lead times and pricing.

How to order – C-face reducers
The C-face reducer section of the
Menden build center catalog is divided
into three product sections for ILH,
RHB and MSM. General build center
capabilities are found on page 2 of this
brochure. Based on the application
requirements, you will use one of the
following selection sections:

Once reducer type is established, then
you can use the provided charts to
make your selection.
Charts are organized by nominal ratio,
then grouped by input IEC frame size
(71, 80, 90, etc) which corresponds to
the max input power rating. Output rpm,
and max output torque rating are also
provided. Ratings are based on 1450
input rpm and 1.0 service factor.
Each Quantis part number listed in this
catalog can be built in Menden build
center. These part numbers are loaded
into OMS with a valid bill of material
consisting of build center modules that
are stocked at the build center. Pricing
is loaded for each part number.

Dodge QuantisMenden build center
Using variant codes for build center quotes/orders
Variant codes are used to specify required and optional
instructions for the build center. These codes are used in
the OMS system during quote and order entry.
The ABB sales office must use the standard variant
codes for units requiring A1 mounting position and
standard mineral lubricant. Code 264 is required because
this instructs the Menden build center to assemble
components prior to shipping.
Optional variants can be used depending on customer
requirements. Mounting positions other than A, special
seals, output flange options and special lubricants can be
added to standard reducers.
*** Units that do not have variant codes will be built with
standard A1 mounting position and mineral lubricant.
Please note: Codes with asterisk have pricing associated
with them. This will be reflected on the total list price of
the unit.

Notes specific to optional variant codes:
Output flange variant codes
Code 268 is used for RHB (BF housing) and MSM for the output flange mounted on the A- side of the reducer. This is the only
flange option for the MSM reducer. It can also be used for ILH (HF housing) for the small diameter output flange.
Code 269 is used for RHB (BF housing) for the output flange mounted on the B-side of the reducer. It can also be used for ILH
(HF Housing) for the larger diameter output flange. This does not apply for MSM.
Motor assembly and terminal box location
Code 265 for motor assembly must be designated on the Quantis reducer AND the motor that is entered on a separate line
item.
Codes 366-369 are used for terminal box location. The codes correspond to the following terminal box positions.
