Project Name : “MICROSTRUCTURE PROPERTY CORRELATION IN CORROSION
RESISTANT CAST IRONS”.
Objective : In this work an attempt has been made to find the possibility to form a low cost white
cast iron having corrosion resistance properties equivalent to or better than the high
cost existing cast irons namely high silicon (ferritic), Ni-Resist (austenitic) cast iron
and high chromium (martensitic) irons.
