• Using loop wiring diagram, Isolate the power supply to the positioner at MDF cabinet in FAR building or JB.
• Open the positioner field terminal boxes and confirm no voltage present at the terminal.
• Disconnect the power supply cable and protect the cable end by individual insulation tapes and protect them from water ingress.
• Isolate the air supply to the valve. Disconnect the tubing and accessories. Provide identification marking on tubing, cables and
accessories for correct re-installation.
• Protect and securely store the cable, tubing and other accessories from mechanical damages, dirt and debris.

• Check isolation point and confirm zero energy with operation.
• Place dip tray below the vlave flanges (If required).
• Detorque and loose bolts for both flanges (4" x 300#) (Bolts 16, Stud size 3/4" & A/F 32mm).
• Rigg & hold the valve with crane & remove the flange bolts one by one.
• Slowly remove the control valve outside, and place on wooden pallet to send for workshop for overhauling (weight : 360 kg Approx.)
• Clean the flange faces of open ends, check inlet & outlet piping for debris & report any defects or blockage to integrity & operation.
• Place flange protection covers (plywood) on open end flanges of valve & pipe line.
• Marking & P-MAC Tag to be provided on the valve & pipeline flanges (To assist during valve reinstallation).
Note : Secure removed studbolts in bolt trays for reuse during valve installation.

• Attach to proper packaging to be sure the CV is not damaged during shipping and protect flanges with protection covers (wooden ply
or plastic caps).
• Attach proper tags and MSDS sheets to CV prior to delivering to staging area for sending out.
• Send valve package including Data sheet, cross sectional drawing, ITP, ETC, Scope details and material list to Valve Overhauling shop
prior to delivering valve.
• Send valve to ............ workshop for overhauling.
• Workshop overhaul test certificate should be provided while dispatching valve to site and prior to installation.
• Ensure Valve tag should be tied properly and documented before dispatch vlave to site.

• Verify flow direction of CV before installation.
• Rigg & install the valve by using crane with new gaskets (4" x 300#, weight :360 kg Approx.).
• Place all flange bolts & final torque as per ITP (Bolts 16, Stud size 3/4" & A/F 32mm).
Note: Clean the stud bolts and apply molykote P-37 on stud bolts before install.
