Project Details
Name: SPLIT IPSEC VPN
Aim: Creating a VPN user on Cisco 2911 router to access its internal network from
outside using Cisco VPN client Software.
Role: Led / owned the project from front and completed it on time with required
output.
Topology:
Description:
VPN client can be connected to any network regardless of the Static IP with his
provider. As we are not doing a Site – Site VPN wherein the router on other
side requires Static IP to establish full tunnel.
I have connected VPN Client PC on the ISP side network using Cisco VPN Client
software to connect to VPN.
On VPN Router (2911) I created a dynamic IP Address profile for the VPN users
along with the user credentials to authenticate.
Router once accepted it will assign the LAN IP’s to the VPN Client and it can
communicate with the other party sitting behind 2911 router.
VPN Client doesn’t get the static IP from 2911 Router. Every time the VPN goes
down and re-connect it will assign new IP to it.
