Ok what was new when cloud application came UP? – actually not much.
Okay, now you don’t need to install the app. But you had poor functionality in the browser.Except for security issues. And that’s a drawback.
You still had to split document to parts.
You had still think how to setup the project
And you still had to count licenses. This model was probably inhereted from other industries. But it doesn’t really work for our industry because 90 percents of seats consuming people are freelancers. And this number is acually flactuating. It changes all the time.
I guess that’s why the industry didn’t really adopted the tool.
At the moment we realised that this model doesn’t really meet the requirements of the industry. It doesn’t really meat everyday challenges that industry has.
Okay, you have 90-percents of people working as freelancers, and you have to scale them up and down quickly.
And you have to split the document all the time and stick it back into one holistic document. And you have to count licenses. You actually wasting a lot of your time of your precious human resources – project managers. Which is probably one the most expensive resources.
We wanted to bring the collaboration to the next level. And we got an inspiration from other industry.

This is the first time ever in the industry ,
when people can really work together.
Translators they can reuse it in real time. Editor consults translator on the way. As a result you can squize time of the project. You can shorten turnover time.
Beauty of our collaboration is that you can add unlimited number of collaborators. This was one signifacant innovation which inspired us to move forward.
If we had the same licensing model as other tools, it would actually devaluate the whole story.
Because every time you invite collaborators,
or run multiple project simultaneously or you need to setup more teams
Or you need to invite 50 more translators from India or China for your new customer
You would have a trouble. Because you would have to spend time of your project managers to think how many licensees they have.
So if count licensees, than you wouldn’t leverage 100% from this collaboration.
So for us it was natural next step to remove licensees itself. We believe that this is the only natural approach to adress the needs of translation industry. Because we have 90% of people who are freelancers and the number chanпes every day. And you don’t know how many you will need tomorrow and you have to be free to scale your operations. To setup collaboration easily.
