1. From the Founder's Desk Vol:VIII No:5 August 2017
DearFriends,
It was Sunday, 23rd July 2017, at around
6:30 am. I was awaiting a call from Mr.
G.Radhakrishnan, President of our Group
who had landed at Bangalore earlier at
about 3:30 am from the US. I was very sure
that he would be calling me, as it was his practice to call early in
the morning whenever he returned from his tours abroad; it
was a habit among the many good ones he practiced over the
last26years.
Finally the phone rang. But it was not mine ‐ my son Ajit
attended the call. I came out of my room and asked to talk to
him,ifthecallwasfromRadhakrishnan.
Ajit said, “Dad, Sad news. Radhakrishnan is no more. He passed
away due to a heart attack.” I was not in a position to digest this
pieceof information, nor was able to accepthis words for a fact.
I was indeed shocked and my mind went blank and my body
numb. Finally, I started crying. All my Vedanta ‐ Bhagavad Gita ‐
(SoulisEternal)didnotstopmefromcryinglikeababy.
Radhakrishnan had landed at Bangalore Airport after his holiday
in Alaska, where he celebrated his 68th birthday on the 10th of
July.AfterreachinghisflatinBangalore,hefeltuncomfortableand

best to find one. When they were not able to get one, they
decided to take him to the hospital by car. On the way to the
hospitalhecollapsed.
My son was also equally upset, but he accepted the truth and
plunged into action. He managed the next proceedings and

As many of you know, I am a dreamer and a visualizer. But
Radhakrishnan was the man who turned all my dreams into
reality.
We were not just employer‐employee. Our relationship was way
beyond that. Even though he was younger to me by 10 years, we
were more than good friends. We used to sit and brainstorm on
manyaspectsalmosteverydaywhenbothofuswereintown.
To talk about him, I should go back 26 years ‐ back to 1991. I was
running Vijay Wires and Filaments Pvt Ltd at Metagalli along with
its sister concern, Unique Wires at Nanjangud. Those were the
golden days ‐ I was mainly looking after Finance and Marketing ‐
we had more than enough orders to execute. I was looking for a

Our inner army: Every day, the human body fights off toxins,
germs, chemicals and other harmful substances. All this
happens through our immune system ‐ an army of cells,
tissues, chemicals that fight and kill infectious organisms
when they invade the body. Immune system includes spleen,
lymph nodes, bone marrow, thymus and tonsils. Immunity is
a state in which the body is protected from infectious
disease. Thanks to our unnatural lifestyles, we abuse our
body. Stress adds to accumulation of toxins in the body and
hence our immune system works overtime. Infections could
occurviabacteria,virus,fungi,ortheenvironment.
Ourimmunesystemcomprisesamongothers,of:
Scavengercellsthatpolicethebodyanddevourmicrobes
Tcellsthatcommandtheimmuneresponse
Antibodies, made of microscopic protein, targeted at
microbesandneutralizetoxins.
As we age, our body produces fewer T cells but more
antibodies.
Typical signs of low immunity include low energy levels,
constant cold or cough, fatigue, pale complexion, weakness,
lack of concentration, low haemoglobin levels or loss of
appetite.
Leading a healthy lifestyle is the natural way towards
immunity.
Allergies are abnormal reactions to substances that the
immune system regards as foreign. Allergies trigger
inflammation, drain the immune system, and lead to
congestion, fatigue, migraines, mood swings and neurological
symptoms. Allergens could be pollen, dander, mold, dust,
foods, chemicals, or drugs. Cause of allergies could be
hereditary, infections, chemical exposure, stress or
malnutrition. To overcome allergies, keep the breezes out,
wash up, wear a mask, eat healthy, rinse orally and nasally,
drink fluids, go natural, steam, avoid smoke, try acupuncture,

Stress causes low energy and chronic stress wears you down.
Stress can decrease T‐cell production and can lower antibody
levels. Inflammatory conditions, arthritis, autoimmune
conditions,migrainescanallbeeffectsofstress.
Toxins enter our body through food, smog, dust, radiation,
chemicals, pesticides, stress. Toxins cause energy deficiency
and poor immunity. This can lead to a variety of problems. We
needtobuilddetoxintoourdailylife.
We need Energy for all our bodily functions. When we are full
of vital energy, we are immune to most diseases. When we
have low energy, we are lethargic and are prone to a variety of
ailments. Look at ways to change your lifestyle to maximize
your energy. Subtle energy prana runs through the body via
paths called nadis, and through energy centers called chakras.
When ill, it is because subtle energy is blocked and out of
balance.
Boosting Immunity, Boosting Energy: We need to have the
energy to do what we like and have immunity to ward off
illnesses. We can do this by being aware of our allergies,
stressesandtoxins.Letuslookatwaysofachievingthis.
Food: Food is our fuel. Healthy eating leads to healthy energy
levels. A balanced, nutritious diet with supplements can work
wonders. Avoid additives, preservatives, stimulants. Eat foods
that release glucose slowly. Have a regular eating schedule
every 4 or 5 hours. This will lower stress on the body, reduce
allergies and improve health and chronic conditions, cutting
theriskofdisease.
Digestion Digestive tract is the largest immune organ in the
body. Our bodies immune‐defenses reside in the stomach. A
symbiotic balance is maintained between the resident 500
species of bacteria, and the host human. Poor diet, stress,

indigestion lead to imbalance and to major illnesses. Factors
causing imbalance could be excess fermentation or putrefaction
or low enzyme levels. Nurture your digestive system ‐ treat food
withrespect.
Sleep is vital to immunity. An ideal balance of sleep, rest,
relaxation allows the body to rest and repair and fully activates
the immune system. Exercise is the cornerstone of high energy.
Exercise increases T cell activity, acceleration of lymph
circulationanddetox.
Water intake increases immunity. Water carries away waste and
toxins from our cells and replenishes blood and lymph ‐ laden

Flotation therapy's weightlessness reduces anxiety and stress

Holistic Healing therapies stimulate and release the flow of
energy through the body resulting in pain relief, weight loss, and
curing insomnia, fatigue. Yoga conserves and generates energy,
cleans the body of toxins and activates the lymph system. Yoga
stimulates the lymph nodes, relaxes the nervous system, and
providesenergybalance.

In Acupuncture, hundreds of acupoints are stimulated by
needles to release and balance blocked energy. In Acupressure,

Naturopathy methods like herbalism, fasting, hydrotherapy and

Aura reflects the energy of the body etheric field; Aura healing

In Reflexology, feet are

Ayurvedaisahealingartthat
makes the body pure, clean
and free from toxins by
providing mind‐body‐spirit balance (balancing the elements
with the tri‐doshas) through cleansing, detoxing, dhyana,
pranayama. Panchakarma detox is through oil massage,
steam baths and herbs. In Marma therapy, oil massage is
performed on the 107 marma points. Deep Breathing
providesphysicalandmentalcleansing.
Like cures like in Homeopathy where disease, caused by an
imbalance in the body's subtle energy is cured by using a

Herbs like ginseng, ashwagandha, olive leaf extract,
wheatgrass, aloe vera, garlic, onions, lemons, holy basil,
turmeric, neem ‐ all boost immunity, detoxify, increase
energy.
In Light and Color therapy, colors of health glow, while
disease and blocked energy are dark dull patches. Chakras are
represented by the colors of rainbow that release blocked
energy and heal. Vibrational therapy uses different
frequencies that harmonize our subtle energy. Aroma
therapyusingessentialoilextractsfromplantmaterialreduce
stress and tension, balance body energy & support immune
system.
A new science, psycho‐neuro‐immunology ‐ PNI has
underlined the connection between psychology and the
immune system. Positive, Abundance thinking, and
Affirmations improve energy levels. Laughter therapy
releases mood‐enhancing endorphins and boosts the
immune system. Repression leads to stress, depleting energy.
A problem shared is a problem halved. Sharing with others,

Mind‐Body connection through Visualization and Imagery
has profound effect on immunity, pain relief, emotional detox
and stress reduction. Our thoughts and emotions affect the
hypothalamus which directs the actions of the brain. Imagery
means thinking in the sensory mode in mental images that
engage the senses. For some, resorting to Spirituality has
enhancedbothimmunityandenergy.

To our surprise, we got an application from the person who
was helping us as a consultant ‐ Mr. Radhakrishnan. We made

He joined the company as General Manager and within a few
months, his dedication and commitment impressed me a lot
and in turn he was given the requisite liberty, power and
responsibilityinthecompany.
As he was so close to me, I started sharing my dreams/visions
with him and he planned and executed the same. Whether it
was a training program for the employees, implementation of
Just‐in‐Time, Kaizen, Quality Circle ‐ come what may ‐ his

From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate Mr. Radhakrishnan
for his initiatives in exporting our products. I still remember
our first export to Premier Electricals, Nepal in the year 1993 .
Because of our continuous effort, quality and brand image, we
were able to export to around 20‐25 countries across the
globe. I should emphasize the role of Mr. Radhakrishnan in our
expansion from 2 units to a group of 8 units. It was in his
tenure that our Group has been winning the “Star Performer
forExportExcellenceAward”continuouslyforover15years.
He also developed a dedicated and committed team which is

In his service of 27 years, he focused on the growth of the

In short, at the risk of running out of adjectives, I will still attempt
to describe this true friend of mine ‐ Endearing, Committed,
Dedicated, Systematic, Very Strict, Disciplined, Excellent,
Professional,Workaholic.......
Dear Radhakrishnan, you will be always in our hearts and minds ‐
we, the VIJAY FAMILY pray the Godesses Chamundeshwari to grant

From a humane perspective as well as from the Wellness
viewpoint, building relationships, retaining it, maintaining it and
