2008 – Present: Plant Operations Manager (ARAMARK)Virginia Commonwealth Health Systems

- Managing the daily mechanical operation of a 3 mil. Sqft. Hospital and various other clinics.
- Identified and implemented successfulmechanical maintenance strategies / protocols to maintain the
Mechanical equipment in like new condition providing maximum energy efficiency.
- Responsible for staffing, scheduling, training and development of maintenance staff.
- Assisted Food Service Department with the design and installation of their new room service line
for patient dinning.
- Hands-on knowledge and experience with mechanical equipment maintenance
- Instrumental in assisting Community Memorial Hospital in South Hill, Va. prepare for their first Joint
Commission Survey since becoming part of the VCU Health System.
- Maintained client satisfaction - externally and internally
- Instrumental in the VCUHS receiving accreditation from the Joint Commission survey process during
July 2009 and 2012. Environment of Care received no major discrepancies.
- Project Manager for all Mold and Asbestos abatement and renovations projects.
2007- 2008: General Manager ARAMARK at Harris County Jail Houston, Texas
- Employing Positive Leadership one month after assuming responsibility for this $5 mil. Account,
successfully completed the Texas Jail inspection 1st
time in four years. April of 2008 successfully
completed the following year inspection. During the out brief it was noted that the other Jails in
Texas should come to Houston to see how to run a maintenance program in a correctional facility.
- Responsible for all P&L of account. Ahead of Fiscal year ’08 plan by $50K.
- 5 Direct reports, 65 maintenance and housekeeping personnel for four multi story buildings over 2.4
mil sqft.
- Using positive communication skills changed customer’s attitude from bad to “This is the best
relationship we have ever had”.
- Implemented new shift working schedule that provided for a better use of resources and more work
order completion.
- Managed over $800K in major projects and renovations for the jail during my tenure.
2005-2007: Front Line Manager ARAMARK at Western Tidewater Regional Jail (Facility
Manager)
- New contract for ARAMARK March 2005. Responsible for P&L in two years double revenue.
- Number 5 of the top 10 revenue accounts for fiscal year 2006.
- Established and implemented all corrective and preventive maintenance procedures for the facility.
- Saved $40K in first year in utility cost by repairing and aligning facility systems to work properly.
- Managed four different projects over $300K for facility upgrades, completed on time and under budget.
- Project manager for Security Upgrade costing over 2.4 million dollars. Completed under budget.
2003–2005: Virginia Branch Manager for Overhead Crane Equipment Inc.
- Opened a new office by the end of the year sold $640 thousand in service work with a 28% profit.
- Planned and managed major projects involving 4 sub-contractors, 3 months of construction, 40 different
personnel, with a 100% completion on time and on budget.
- Developed a monthly, quarterly and annual preventive maintenance program for a 99-crane site contract.

Pro Services
- Opened a new office in Virginia for Crane Pro Services. Develop a customer base of $1.2 million in 2
years. Trained new sales staff in techniques of canvassing the area and meeting with potential new
customers informing them of Crane Pro Services capabilities and products. Selling inspection contracts
and planned repairs to cranes. Quoted inspections/ repairs to customers. Reviewed inspection reports
for completeness and accuracy.
- Prepared mid-month and month-end reports of status of sales, invoicing, direct labor hours, branch profit
and projected sales for the next quarter.
- Planned work schedule for technicians to service and repair on site cranes.
