SPEAKER PROFILE
April Salonga graduated with honors from St. Paul College Manila with
a degree in Psychology. She chose to pursue a career in HR to help
organizations and individuals achieve optimum performance through
innovative training programs, results-based action learning projects,
webinars and breakthrough coaching and mentoring.
Her substantial experience in consulting at ExeQserve Corporation
helped her gain knowledge and skills in Human Resources, Recruitment,
Training and Organization Development. She then joined the leading
global leadership and talent development expert, Institute of Training
and Development (ITD World) - an award winning, multinational HRD
corporation which exposed her to the world’s best learning solutions and
world-renowned authors including Jack Canfield, John Maxwell, Brian
Tracy, Dr. William Rothwell, Thomas Crane, Robert Tucker and more.
An active member of the Philippine Society for Training and Development (PSTD) and an assessor for
the prestigious Gawad Maestro Awards 2016; she is also a committee member for International
Relations and a contributing writer at People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP)
Magazine and PSTD Magazine. She expanded her network even further through active participation
to Asian Regional Training and Development Organization (ARTDO) and was part of the World
Conference for Leadership in Cairo, Egypt 2015. She is also one of the founding members of Asia
Speakers Bureau Philippine Chapter.
She is a passionate life-long learner who believes in continuous improvement; joined Toastmasters
International to continuously enhance her communication and leadership skills. She also took up
Marketing Development Program (MDP) at the Ateneo de Manila Graduate School of Business 2011;
gained professional certifications from ITD which includes Certified Training Professional (CTP),
Certified Sales Professional (CSP) and Certified Coaching and Mentoring Professional (CCMP). She was
then included as one of the facilitators of CSP for one of ITD’s key client. She was also mentored by
HR-OD Mega Guru, Dr. William J. Rothwell and earned her Pennsylvania State University Certificate
in Change Management and Organizational Development.
She has always believed that training should be fun yet powerful to push people to action.
