Project: Faster Payments Systems |Client: Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) Location: Pune , India and Edinburgh, UK Duration : Feb 2010 – May 2013 Project Summary: The Faster Electronic Payments Scheme is a new scheme that was introduced in May 2008 to reduce the clearing times on electronic payments between banks following telephone/internet/other channel instructions from customers and also on standing orders. LBG uses Base24-eps software (hereby referred to as ACI gateway) to connect STP to Central Infrastructure. The gateway is an interface between Lloyds STP and CI. It receives inbound messages from CI in ISO8583 format, converts the message to XML and forwards it onto STP. It receives outbound messages from STP in XML format, converts them to ISO 8583 format and forwards it onto CI. The connection between CI and ACI is via secured TCP/IP. The connection between ACI and STP is via MQ’s.
