Chief organizer of Comparative Pathology lab resulting in better organization and quality of
patient care and was primary on-call for nine months to receive bodies to the morgue in conjunction
with educating the rest of the team until they were properly trained and qualified to perform both the
legal and physical aspects of the pathology department .
Assisted with 14 autopsies and prepared over 400 research and clinical histology samples
resulting in 90% faster turn-around time which aided the World Burn Center in prognosis. Packaged
remains after the autopsy to include closing the chest cavity, harvesting the brain, the collection of
pertinent samples for analysis and gathering data for future studies. Safeguarded and followed legal
guidelines to preserve the chain of custody in medical examiner cases to assist with homicide,
pathological forensics to properly completing and filing paperwork. As well as served as liaison for
scheduling autopsies, preparing the operation room for the pathologist, assembling the team to perform
the autopsy and arranging 100% travel/transfer of the remains with Decedent Affairs department to the
funeral parlors. Aided and facilitated BrookArmy Medical Center in separating their autopsy lab from
USAISR after their lab reconstruction was complete and opened for business. .
Facilitated and converted of the pathology department to a research only facility when the
pathologist retired. Have maintained, stored and prepared surgical biopsies for analytical
processing to assist the pathologist in diagnosing and aiding in the speedy recovery of burn
patients. Managed daily operations in the Histology lab to include training personnel restored

Supervised and organized-the Chemistry department during the restructuring of the military
medical department as the research detachment was being moved to Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Supervised and headed Department as the Army Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC)
with packaging, down-sizing and relocating and accountability of the Chemistry
department of over $900,000 high value equipment with 100% recovery on the other
end.
Assisted in the development of a method to preserve platelets through freeze-
drying and was by-lined in a scientific journal. Have ordered and maintained both chemical
and medical supplies to assist in daily operations of the Chemistry lab as well as inventory and insure
proper handling guidelines and accountability as other departments ordered chemicals. Was the liaison
to the head supervisor (commander) to monthly random biochemical testing (10%) work force for
biological samples to insure the personnel for fit and ready to fight.
Maintained and restructured the Unit Equal Opportunity program to instill a richer and deeper
understanding of diversity in its personnel. Served as chief mail handler whose duties were to maintain
and schedule the prompt pickup, delivery of sorted mail to include military distribution, personal and
accountable mail to the tri-services research facility, to include serving as a liaison between tri- services
research center.
