SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Tracy Staudacher
Directly Supervises: Clinical & Translational Science Institute
POSITION PURPOSE
Under general supervision, perform routine administrative duties requiring basic knowledge of
organization policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Type general correspondence, reports, memorandums and other documents. Process basic
reports using basic functions of computer applications and software packages.
2. Provide admininstrative support to CTSI collaborations such as the Drug Discovery
Partnership, the Office of Expanding Regional Collaboration, Office of Mentoring, grant
writing preparation courses and the Research Immension program as well as other new
developing programs.
3. Answer and relay telephone calls or take appropriate messages. Provide basic information as
needed.
4. Greet and direct visitors.
5. Helps coordinate and organize meetings and other events related to collaborative efforts.
6. Assist in maintaining prompt, accurate communication with partner institution’s liasons.
7. Distributes incoming mail and processes outgoing mail.

2. 8. Organize and maintain file system. Maintain records.
9. Maintain office equipment such as changing toner in printer, copier and fax machine.
OTHER DUTIES
Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on equivalent basis
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent some college or college degree
preferred.
Experience: 6 months of related experience
Certifications/Licenses: None.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Strong critical thinking, problem
solving and attentiveness to detail required. Ability to plan and organize work according to
established priorities and complete assignments accurately within established timeframes.
Demonstrates cooperation, courtesy and consideration when working effectively with varied
people. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

3. Physical Effort: Work requires handling light weight materials or equipment with no
