RESEARCH INTERESTS
My primary interest is advancing spiritually sensitive social work in hospice, palliative,
and long-term care settings. My secondary interests are in cultural competence, social
work values/ethics, social welfare policy, gerontology, instructional
technology/design/evaluation, and organizational/educational leadership.

Academic Appointments
2020 – present: Associate Professor (tenured), MSW Program Director, and Online

As the founding director, I am responsible for the online Master of Social Work (MSW)

Ridge, TN. Responsible for crisis assessment with treatment referral, facilitation, and
patient emergency commitment for inpatient psychiatric treatment. Additional duties
