The purpose of this letter is to recommend Andrew Belton for the NLC Scholarship. Andrew has
demonstrated outstanding academic abilities, business acumen and leadership qualities while at
Montgomery County Community College.
I am the advisor for Montgomery County Community College’s Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) chapter and I
have had the pleasure of working very closely with Andrew over the past year. Andrew is co- president of
PBL and has demonstrated outstanding skills and business understanding.Andrewis one of the most
passionate and dynamic student leaders I have ever worked with. He is extremely focused and has
organized numerous activities including: community service, fund raising and membership drives.
Specific PBL activities have included:
Planning meetings
Overseeing Competitive Events
Fundraising
Organizing chapter participation in state and national competition and
conferences
Competing in state and national events
Andrew has demonstrated success academically, as well as in working with others,s howing camaraderie,
understanding,responsibility and dedication. He is very well mannered, friendly, highly motivated,
mature, responsible,kind and thoughtful.Andrew has excelled as a student through his active and
