 Do prepare a resume and cover letter
 Don’t prepare a portfolio
 Do list all work and community service experiences on your resume
 Don’t fabricate the truth (GPA, titles, etc)
 Do have a prepared 3 minute bio of yourself
 Don’t drag on beyond 3 minutes
 Do your research on the company prior to the interview (internet, news, etc)
 Don’t claim to know more than you do (lies become woes)
 Do use social media to increase your platform
 Don’t allow information on your pages that will portray you negatively

 Do have at least 2 questions to ask at the conclusion of the interview
 Don’t ask about money 1st interview but do ask later (2nd interview)
 Do close the interview by letting them know you want the job
 Don’t overstate your reason(s)
 Do remember that an interview is just a process to identify quality
candidates
 Don’t think that if you don’t get the job, that you are not quality
