• INTECaec’s approach to the design process is A and E, not A versus E. Having
both architects and engineers on staff, under the same roof, eliminates the
‘finger-pointing’ often experienced in a traditional Architect - Engineer relationship.
• INTECaec’s professionals enter a partnership with our clients to ensure
that all requirements (space, budget and schedule) are understood and
communicated at the beginning of the process by all parties and are continuously
monitored to assure compliance.
• INTECaec’s senior professionals stay committed to the project through the design
and construction phases. In additional to providing client interface, these senior staff
members will be ensuring the INTECaec’s Quality Control Program is implemented to
assure success in all facets of the design (conformance to requirements, code
compliance, and constructability).
• INTECaec’s has performed hundreds of various renovation projects increasing our
experience to ensure that the construction phase will not be impacted by the
aforementioned issues. INTECaec’s seasoned professionals are very familiar with the
challenges faced by contractors during the renovation of an existing facility.
Unforeseen conditions, space/equipment access, matching existing finishes,
hazardous materials (asbestos, lead paint) are all obstacles that must be
specifically addressed by the designers.

The INTEC Companies Inc. dba INTECaec is an expertise-driven business located in
Montgomery County, Maryland, that delivers tailored solutions through a strong local
presence. Since our early years we have planned, designed and provided construction
phase services for literally hundreds of new construction and renovation projects for
Federal, State and local agencies as well as property managers and owners
throughout the Washington – Baltimore metropolitan area.
INTECaec’s key personnel have worked together since 1987. We incorporated as INTEC
Engineers in 1990 and went on to become The INTEC Companies in 1992 reflecting
expanded services that included Architecture, Engineering, Construction and
Facility Management Support. Our mission of design excellence and long-term
cooperative client relationships has not changed since the firm first opened its doors.
