1. Held at Kingsthorpe Golf Club on Saturday July 20th 2014
It is with mixed emotions to report the outcome of this year's event,
as sadly my great friend, co-founder and business partner Richard
lost his fight with prostate cancer in January 2014.
This year I personally found it hard to organise and I have to thank
many people for getting me through this sad time without my golfing
pal! Firstly Dawn, my partner, Peter Voke from the Samaritans, Paul
& Cathy Armstrong, Pam and Jude from Kingsthorpe Golf Club &
Chanelle from Apprentice Supermarket.
A MASSIVE thank you goes to the local community for their kind
donations and the generosity of the club members, family members
and friends who supported the event on the day. We had 35 teams
that entered and we raised £6641
The two causes that received a cheque were the Northampton
Branch of the Samaritans that went towards their annual phone bill &
Kingsthorpe Junior Development to allow juniors' to be taught golf at
KGC.
To date we have now raised over £35,000.
2014 and 2015 will see a new RJN Trophy in association with
Apprentice Supermarket that will Sponsor the "Junior Shires Tour
Order of Merit" and the winner will receive help and support with
travel, clothing and a holiday, so good luck to all the boys & girls
taking part the Shires Tour 2015.
We are pleased to announce the 2015 Charity chosen by Richard's
Daughter Michelle, will be the Ronald McDonald Charity Oxford
Branch & KGC Junior Development Fund with Audi Northampton
being our Main Sponsor.

We would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to all who helped sell raffle tickets, played
and bid for auction prizes and to all of the businesses that supported us on the day.
