Mood Board Analysis
Is there any repetition in the images you have collected? Repeated
colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
– The poster had lots of repeated colours being black, grey ,red ,yellow and white. Some of the image styles are repeated too 4 of them have solid lines and lots of detail and then
there are the rest which were all vectors for fascinating, fun and artistic game posters. All of the posters have different fonts or no writing what so ever such as in the Pandora
one the font is similar to the compacta bold font, the call of duty one is called Impact which is also used in a few other posters, the shadow of the colossus font uses the Caslon
Antique font, The closest font I could find to the Witcher font is PT sans and then the Fallout font is called Overseer. The colours red and black in the dead space poster convey
dis-harmony and ensues fear and dread and the design of the triangle does just that as well but in a much more powerful way, the colours used in the first shadow of the
colossus poster dark navy blue and white, the blue conveys the dread and despair, the white represents hope and peace. The call of duty poster HAS ALL DARK COLOURS TO
ENSURE THE Feelings of war are felt feelings such as despair dread fear and more. The Witcher 3 also uses only dark colours as seem as it has also got a war setting so there are
the same sort of themes conveyed within the posters colours and design. The Pandora poster uses quite a lot of light and bright colours usually connected to old cameras and
media which conveys a sense of adventure and exploration. The first Skyrim poster colours are mainly bright blues and turquoise and black the bright colours remind me of
adventure and heroism which gives off a feeling of excitement. The Fallout New Vegas poster has predominantly dark colours such as red and black however there is some
white the dark colours are there to represent the war raging between the factions giving away feelings of pain, dread and fear. The second borderlands poster uses colours
such as yellow orange white and blue these colours give me a feeling of adventure and excitement, however the design gives off a sense of fear and pain. The second Skyrim
poster uses two colours grey and black which give off feelings of loneliness and fear and then the design is just the dovahkin standing stoically on top of a rock emitting some
sort of aura and being surrounded by mist or mystery. The second shadow of the colossus poster incorporates the colours yellow black and blue, the yellow would usually give
off a feeling of adventure but it could also mean wealth with the slight tinge and the black represents horror. The design depicts that the creature is large giving of the sense of a
threat and then there is the small man standing a top the beast making it seem that he is the hero.
– The t shirts have one main repeating colour which is the black to make the design stand out on a white shirt it has the same effect with the grey shirts but the effect is slightly
lessened as it is not in your face the other repeating colour was white but that is because that is the other main colour of t shirts however it can help to add shape and meaning
to black t shirts and it also is brilliant as a background as it practically makes all colours stand out on it unless it is too pale of a colour. Some of the image styles are similar to one
another as they have some incredibly detailed ones such as the second Witcher poster and the warhammer 40k t shirt and others then there are the vectors which are the ones
such as the Fallout t shirt and the first Witcher t shirt and others. There are some which include fonts but many of them don’t have any fonts what so ever such as the second
borderlands t shirt and then there is the first Skyrim t shirt. Then there are only three with writing which are the first borderlands poster, the second Skyrim t shirt and the
warhammer 40k t shirt. The borderlands font is the compacta bold, Darks Skyrim Font and for the warhammer 40k t shirt the font is the SPACE MARINE font. The colours used
are grey and black in the first Witcher t shirt which gives of the feeling desperation and fear and the design is of the wolf which is his schools pendent and also his nick name
was white wolf. In the second Witcher t shirt they use the colours red, white and black which mostly gives of a sense of fear and pain of some sort which would make sense as it
is set in a war setting and the design is that of the main character and a large version of his pendent behind him which gives off the feeling of hope behind the pendent and
there being some sort of control beyond the pendent. The first borderlands t shirt uses the colours black, red, peach, yellow and grey which gives of a feeling of excitement
adventure humanity and trepidation. The design is based around one of the characters within the game, he is one of the crazier ones as he runs a gun manufacturer called the
Torgue corporation however underneath the character there is one his quotes “Explosions?!” this gives a sense of danger and fear to an extent but predominantly it gives of a
sense of comical value and more. The second borderlands t shirt only uses the colours black and white which makes it easy to see and makes the design stand out. The colours
used are black and white which gives of a sense of danger, fear, excitement and it may represent some form of horror. The design is of one of the more dangerous AI’s within
the game called psychos they are mental and are themed on the cover of each and every game so far, the design gives of a sense of danger excitement fun and comical value.
The first Skyrim t shirt uses the colours black and white to make the design stand out, these colours give off a sense of hope and hopelessness and then there are all sorts of
things as such denotated by the two colours but it could also mean fear and be part of an action genre. The design however is of the main character exploring which gives off a
sense of adventure. The Fallout t shirt uses the colours peach, yellow, blue and black these colours could mean anything from adventure to trepidation, however the design is
of the vault boy who is pretty much the avatar logo of Fallout, this in the game is the very de3scription of adventure and action as a genre and is most certainly effective in all
their games with the vault boy included within them. This continued on the next page.
Mood Board Analysis
• The second Skyrim t shirt uses the colors black and white to show the viewer the balance between good and evil and so on but these color schemes were probably used to make the
design stand out on the t shirt. The design is of the logo of the champions which is a faction in the game which is based in Whiterun which explains the text on the t shirt this design of the
bear is to represent fearlessness. The first Shadow of the Colossus t shirt uses the colors white black yellow and many shades of green this I believe is to mainly show off the kind of world
the game is set in and how barbarically large and ferocious the colossus can be which is also depicted through the design. The second Shadow of the Colossus t shirt used the colors black
and white but just predominantly to make the design stand out on the shirt. The design is of a massive colossus and the tiny main character which gives a sense of dread and fear for the
main character and also concludes the genre of action. The Warhammer 40k t shirt uses the colors black and white to make the design stand out to the rest of the t shirt. The design is of
a space marine holding a hand gun of sorts and then there is text above and below the design depicting how long the war has been raging on between the space marines and the aliens
which could only mean one thing it is an action packed game in this case or product in other cases.
• The game cases have some repeated colors such as black, blue and silver for example however there are more. When it comes down to the image styles they all have incredible detail
and there are no vectors unless you are looking in the background in the background of the assassins creed game case however this is only brought about because they added a certain
blur to the background. Only three of the fonts look similar which were the call of duty, Mafia II and Pay Day 2 game cases however they are all separate different fonts the Mafia II one is
called Aurora Bold Condensed, the call of duty font is called Call of Ops Duty, and the pay day 2 font is just called Payday. The dead Island game case uses the colors, black grey blue and
green all are very dark colors giving off a sense of dread and fear and so does the design as far as I can think I don’t believe there are many positive denotations for a zombie being hung
and a zombie on the beach which would definitely make me feel very scared and fill me with fear. The call of duty game case uses colours such as dark green black and peachish orange
and then there is grey and silver, these colors would usually indicate some sort of smoke and a person standing inside of it and smoke usually comes from three places fire guns and
grenades in this case which would usually give off a sense of loneliness and fear and the design is a military man squatting with his weapons which is quite an ominous sight. The PayDay
2game case uses the colors gold blue grey black silver and red, these would usually give of the effect of seeing riches weapons and maybe even masks which is weird because that is
exactly what is on the game case as its design which is a gang of bank robbers robbing a vault which would be a scary occasion being threatened and all. The assassins creed brotherhood
game case uses colors such as red silver brown black white and blue, these pictures would usually give off a sense of good and evil, death and life and so on however when it comes down
to the design it is just one assassin and a bunch of targets behind him which gives off a sense of dread for the targets and as for the viewer a bit gory and fun in a way. The Mafia II game
case uses the colors black white yellow red and blue these colors could mean a large variety of things as I said in the last one good and evil and all that however there are others such as
feelings given off from city living such as there is a certain liveliness to it, then when it comes down to the design it appears to be of a gang and due to the name it is easy to suggest it is
the Mafia out for blood or money as usual. The Ghost Recon game case uses bright colors such as blue yellow green red and silver and then there are darker colors such as the black and
grey and some of the patches of yellow, this could mean many things however I believe it was predominantly used to make it look aesthetically pleasing to the eye, and then the design
looks like it is in a country in the south, the design uses clouds mountains people and a helicopter, this could give off a sense of danger as an incoming threat or it could be seen as
someone helping out and so maybe a feeling of ease. The Fallout 3 game case uses the colors silver grey white and black and its design is of a helmet for a set of power armor in the
game and it gives off a sense of danger. The Left4 Dead2 game case uses a particularly grimy yellow and green colour mainly however there is some red and a peach sort of color, these
colours are mainly things associated with death and horror and that sort of thing and the design gives it a bit of a human touch as it adds a hand design however it has lost its thumb
meaning there might be some sort of monster. On the XCOM 2 game case they used the colours silver black and blue these colours people usually would put maybe robots in charge so
maybe a sci-fi sort of genre which in turn also probably means there will be some action as well and the design is of some sort of alien face made by joining a lot of the alien faces
together and so maybe some sort of horror too. On the Dragon Age II game case they use the colours red vermillion black silver and peach these colours gives off a sense of humanity
however the reds give off a sense of horror so maybe some sort of beast, the design has a red blood dragon in the background and a human in the front and so this is definitely defined as
a horror action adventure fantasy game.
• How will your moad board influence your final product
• This Mood Board will mainly influence my use of colours and fonts within my work and as seem as I plan to make
something with a lot of detail anyway it probably will prove very useful as a sort colour base and will help me with
giving me a large variety of fonts with things such as Payday and PT sans and many others and I will try to achieve
the same mood as some of these with the horror sort of setting.
Informal Proposal
Current Idea
Concept Create products for a cross game with a sort of animation style such as things like
final fantasy and personna franchises but my idea are to create t shirts game cases
and posters using the Fallout font and trying to use dark colours to create a horror
setting.

sexuality or where you live would affect how you would view this product and the
social grade would be a mixture between middle class and lower middle class.

Some of the image styles are similar to one another as they have some incredibly detailed ones such as the second Witcher poster and the warhammer 40k t shirt and others then there are the vectors which are the ones such as the Fallout t shirt and the first Witcher t shirt and others. There are some which include fonts but many of them don’t have any fonts what so ever such as the second borderlands t shirt and then there is the first Skyrim t shirt. Then there are only three with writing which are the first borderlands poster, the second Skyrim t shirt and the warhammer 40k t shirt. The borderlands font is the compacta bold, Darks Skyrim Font and for the warhammer 40k t shirt the font is the SPACE MARINE font. The colours used are grey and black in the first Witcher t shirt which gives of the feeling desperation and fear and the design is of the wolf which is his schools pendent and also his nick name was white wolf. In the second Witcher t shirt they use the colours red, white and black which mostly gives of a sense of fear and pain of some sort which would make sense as it is set in a war setting and the design is that of the main character and a large version of his pendent behind him which gives off the feeling of hope behind the pendent and there being some sort of control beyond the pendent. The first borderlands t shirt uses the colours black, red, peach, yellow and grey which gives of a feeling of excitement adventure humanity and trepidation. The design is based around one of the characters within the game, he is one of the crazier ones as he runs a gun manufacturer called the Torgue corporation however underneath the character there is one his quotes “Explosions?!” this gives a sense of danger and fear to an extent but predominantly it gives of a sense of comical value and more. The second borderlands t shirt only uses the colours black and white which makes it easy to see and makes the design stand out. The colours used are black and white which gives of a sense of danger, fear, excitement and it may represent some form of horror. The design is of one of the more dangerous AI’s within the game called psychos they are mental and are themed on the cover of each and every game so far, the design gives of a sense of danger excitement fun and comical value. The first Skyrim t shirt uses the colours black and white to make the design stand out, these colours give off a sense of hope and hopelessness and then there are all sorts of things as such denotated by the two colours but it could also mean fear and be part of an action genre. The design however is of the main character exploring which gives off a sense of adventure. The Fallout t shirt uses the colours peach, yellow, blue and black these colours could mean anything from adventure to trepidation, however the design is of the vault boy who is pretty much the avatar logo of Fallout, this in the game is the very de3scription of adventure and action as a genre and is most certainly effective in all their games with the vault boy included within them. Mood Board Analysis • The second Skyrim t shirt uses the colors black and white to show the viewer the balance between good and evil and so on but these color schemes were probably used to make the design stand out on the t shirt. The design is of the logo of the champions which is a faction in the game which is based in Whiterun which explains the text on the t shirt this design of the bear is to represent fearlessness. The first Shadow of the Colossus t shirt uses the colors white black yellow and many shades of green this I believe is to mainly show off the kind of world the game is set in and how barbarically large and ferocious the colossus can be which is also depicted through the design. The second Shadow of the Colossus t shirt used the colors black and white but just predominantly to make the design stand out on the shirt. The design is of a massive colossus and the tiny main character which gives a sense of dread and fear for the main character and also concludes the genre of action. The Warhammer 40k t shirt uses the colors black and white to make the design stand out to the rest of the t shirt. The design is of a space marine holding a hand gun of sorts and then there is text above and below the design depicting how long the war has been raging on between the space marines and the aliens which could only mean one thing it is an action packed game in this case or product in other cases. • The game cases have some repeated colors such as black, blue and silver for example however there are more. When it comes down to the image styles they all have incredible detail and there are no vectors unless you are looking in the background in the background of the assassins creed game case however this is only brought about because they added a certain blur to the background. Only three of the fonts look similar which were the call of duty, Mafia II and Pay Day 2 game cases however they are all separate different fonts the Mafia II one is called Aurora Bold Condensed, the call of duty font is called Call of Ops Duty, and the pay day 2 font is just called Payday. The dead Island game case uses the colors, black grey blue and green all are very dark colors giving off a sense of dread and fear and so does the design as far as I can think I don’t believe there are many positive denotations for a zombie being hung and a zombie on the beach which would definitely make me feel very scared and fill me with fear. The call of duty game case uses colours such as dark green black and peachish orange and then there is grey and silver, these colors would usually indicate some sort of smoke and a person standing inside of it and smoke usually comes from three places fire guns and grenades in this case which would usually give off a sense of loneliness and fear and the design is a military man squatting with his weapons which is quite an ominous sight. The PayDay 2game case uses the colors gold blue grey black silver and red, these would usually give of the effect of seeing riches weapons and maybe even masks which is weird because that is exactly what is on the game case as its design which is a gang of bank robbers robbing a vault which would be a scary occasion being threatened and all. The assassins creed brotherhood game case uses colors such as red silver brown black white and blue, these pictures would usually give off a sense of good and evil, death and life and so on however when it comes down to the design it is just one assassin and a bunch of targets behind him which gives off a sense of dread for the targets and as for the viewer a bit gory and fun in a way. The Mafia II game case uses the colors black white yellow red and blue these colors could mean a large variety of things as I said in the last one good and evil and all that however there are others such as feelings given off from city living such as there is a certain liveliness to it, then when it comes down to the design it appears to be of a gang and due to the name it is easy to suggest it is the Mafia out for blood or money as usual. The Ghost Recon game case uses bright colors such as blue yellow green red and silver and then there are darker colors such as the black and grey and some of the patches of yellow, this could mean many things however I believe it was predominantly used to make it look aesthetically pleasing to the eye, and then the design looks like it is in a country in the south, the design uses clouds mountains people and a helicopter, this could give off a sense of danger as an incoming threat or it could be seen as someone helping out and so maybe a feeling of ease. The Fallout 3 game case uses the colors silver grey white and black and its design is of a helmet for a set of power armor in the game and it gives off a sense of danger. The Left4 Dead2 game case uses a particularly grimy yellow and green colour mainly however there is some red and a peach sort of color, these colours are mainly things associated with death and horror and that sort of thing and the design gives it a bit of a human touch as it adds a hand design however it has lost its thumb meaning there might be some sort of monster. On the XCOM 2 game case they used the colours silver black and blue these colours people usually would put maybe robots in charge so maybe a sci-fi sort of genre which in turn also probably means there will be some action as well and the design is of some sort of alien face made by joining a lot of the alien faces together and so maybe some sort of horror too. On the Dragon Age II game case they use the colours red vermillion black silver and peach these colours gives off a sense of humanity however the reds give off a sense of horror so maybe some sort of beast, the design has a red blood dragon in the background and a human in the front and so this is definitely defined as a horror action adventure fantasy game. • How will your moad board influence your final product • This Mood Board will mainly influence my use of colours and fonts within my work and as seem as I plan to make something with a lot of detail anyway it probably will prove very useful as a sort colour base and will help me with giving me a large variety of fonts with things such as Payday and PT sans and many others and I will try to achieve the same mood as some of these with the horror sort of setting.

Informal Proposal Current Idea Concept Create products for a cross game with a sort of animation style such as things like final fantasy and personna franchises but my idea are to create t shirts game cases and posters using the Fallout font and trying to use dark colours to create a horror setting. Type of products you would make • T shirts • Posters • Game cases What you will need to make them Photoshop and google and the knowledge to use these items properly also a camera for designs maybe. Audience The age group I am aiming at would be the age of 15-24 who would mainly be male and the psychographic would be socially conscious type B I don’t believe either sexuality or where you live would affect how you would view this product and the social grade would be a mixture between middle class and lower middle class.
