empathetic bond for the characters for their actions. The film fit into realist perspective because
through Murphy and Electra actions, real incidence can be observed. Based on the power of
photography and the images shown in the film, I can relate to the some of the incidence
happening in the film as being true account of most youths in the real world.
Omi is an invited guest into Murphy and Electra’s romantic relationship. The obscure
scenes especially the first time interaction between the main character in the film can hardly be
overlooked. As a result, the complexity of emotional feelings result into a disconnect between

Omi and Murphy because the latter could longer find the same feeling he used to have with
Electra. Realism thrive to show the real incidence in the society; what actually happens in the
film. Omi is depicted as unprofessional actor with minimal effect, an aspect that work to show
how love can a times be a pathological addiction, provocative and form of shocking.
In Murphy’s perspective, love was real. His romantic relationship that were depicted by
several scenes of extreme love-making move can be judged as realistic. However, some of these
incidence are captured in the form of flashback. The real account is his relationship is with Omi,
who eventually became his wife. This is what ought to be real, but because of flashback and
nostalgia of missing Electra, Murphy cannot endure the loss of his two year love and thus he
must move out of the relationship. As such, his romantic relationship with Omi is unrealistic.
