The uncontained greed of these men means accelerated depletion of natural resources, huge inequality and terrible disruption of nature. Overpowered by their greed, they see no evil in the destruction of nature, and no sin in corrupting the system.

India is not a Nation, India is a civilisation.
India is not a poor country.
It is rich with abundant natural resources.
But the people of India are very poor - abjectly poor.
In fact four out of ten are below poor.
Why?

Because our resources are controlled by the greedy handful businessmen.
And our corrupt government makes us believe these ‘corporate men’ will bring
‘development’!
The uncontained greed of these men means accelerated depletion of natural resources,
huge inequality and terrible disruption of nature. Overpowered by their greed, they see no
evil in the destruction of nature, and no sin in corrupting the system.
Fifty seven people in our country have borrowed 85,000 crores from banks;
and our central bank does not want to disclose their names even, let alone recover the loans
from them! This is one small example.
Then, we are made to believe these people will bring development. To the poor! By borrowing
money from banks and not paying it back! This is our democracy.
Needless to say, the ‘obnoxious growth’ of these men has divided India into two:
The business class and the poor working class.
This raises a question as to why these people commit such acts?
Lord Krishna answers that in Gita - it is desire that impels man to lose his discrimination
and thus commit wrong acts. Even Buddha says, desire is the root cause of all evil actions. If
desire is removed, then the divine power manifests in itself and one can enjoy peace, bliss, and
freedom.
But these corporate men have chosen evil ‘desire’ rather than self less ‘ welfare’ of the people.
The ‘oil maharaja’ in this story is the foremost amongst this ‘desirous business class.’ The
concentration of his enormous wealth has raised serious questions. He can change the
government; he can control the media and he can even manage the judiciary.
He is a sovereign man by himself. The government and its babus work at his beck and call.
Nobody can dare to touch him. He is invincible.
His argument is this:

He needs to grow faster… much faster. At global scale!
If he grew faster that way, then his growth would ‘trickle down’ to the poor. Eventually! One
day!
How do you like it! So, where do we ‘poor’ go from here…?
well….
This is the misery inflicted upon us by the time. Time has created this and time only will
destroy this. But if you want to be part of this ‘time…’ Then…Arise ! And awake! Because
the ‘four pillars’ of our democracy are crumbling.
‘Na me paartha asti kartavyam trishu lokeshu kinchana; Naanavaaptam avaaptavyam varta
eva cha karmani.
There is nothing in the three worlds,’ says Krishna – ‘That should be done by me; nor is there
anything unattained that should be attained; yet I engage myself in action!
So, it is ‘time’ to do something for the welfare of our great nation; Our nation will remember
you with gratitude. And History - with all kindness.
Saktaah karmanyavidwaamso yathaa kurvanti bhaarata; Kuryaad vidwaam stathaa saktash
chikeershur loka sangraham.
As the ignorant men act from attachment, O Bharata,
so should the wise act without attachment; wishing the welfare of the people!’
