2. As the scene first
opens, it appears with
a charcoal piece being
dragged across the
page.
Secondly, the name of
the director appears
on the screen.
However, this soon
disappears slowly
seeping away into
blurry, soft lettering.
3. After the first
notice of the
charcoal piece, it
appears in the
next clip that it
seems to look
smaller. This could
be because of the
amount of
pressure added.
The next titling
emerges into view
and again, slowly
fades away.
4. The third piece
of writing
appears with the
name of the
musician (or
who probably
directed to
music to be how
it should be).
Again, we can notice that the
charcoal is still being used.
We can see that the title of
the film is called ‘Black Swan’,
which could also be why they
have used charcoal.
5. There is a swift
change in clip as
you can see
through the layers
of the charcoal
being used. One is
disappearing as
the other comes
in. Another title
comes through
which is the story
creator.
6. The camera
shot is a close
up of the
charcoal piece
that was used
before in the
last few shots.
When it is left
in the mid left
side of the
shot, it seems
as if there is a
mystery
behind it.
.. As we still do not yet
know who the person using
it is.
7. As the opening
scene goes on
the amount of
charcoal on the
page gets thicker
which could
suggest anger
because the
amount they are
adding to the
paper. The next
titling are the
actors and
actresses
performing in
film.
8. The dark
background
foreshadows
what could
happen in the
actual film.
The background has been
smudged too, which means
that it has been altered,
which could link to the film of
the character changing too.
9. This is the end
to the opening
scene with a
close up shot of
the charcoal
piece on the
right hand side.
The typeface
looks
sophisticated
and is located in
the middle of the
screen.
